so whenever i place a block over the void i just get a GIANT lag spike. minecraft freezes for about 5 sec and then comes to. can someone give me a explenation for this?

Try placing it in 1.8

 

Same thing happens in 1.8, I reckon its a server glitch.

 

It happens when other people place blocks around me too

 

It may be your computer... is it old? Old computers with less ram and storage usually lag a lot on Skyblock from my personal experiences.

How much ram and storage does it have, may I ask? Also, are you using any plugins/hacks?

 

no mods or hacks or anything. my ram/storage is 28 gigs

 

This happens to everyone. Its just a glitch. its been around since i started about 3 years ago

 

It happens to me too, I have 16 ram and 512 gb and I get that too, not 5 secs, rather maybe half a second, but it should be fixed

 

Oh I forgot to mention my quick fix.

when placing a block directly over the void, do not look directly into the void. That works for some reason.
