Where do our donations go? Obviously there is server space and tech support, but where does the rest go? And what amount of money to you want to see to improve the server? Noobcrew and CypriotMerks? I know they only get mod tags so can a mod tag them?

 

The server bill is really expensive, keep in mind they have many dedicated servers to pay for which is extremely expensive. They also pay the builders for builds, developers for making plugins, DDoS protection, advertising and probably many other things we don't know about.

 

That's what I want to know.

Donations go to the owner, Noobcrew.
They are used for whatever he likes to use them for. That is exactly why they are called a "donation" and not a "fee".

You are not required to give them your money. However should you decide to donate to the server, you get in game perks and help to keep the server running.
Not good enough? No one is making you stay.

I donate to many foundations.
I also donate to this server and many others.
I even donate money to friends and donate to random unranked members just joining in hopes that they stay and help this place thrive.

 

No one here donates for the heck of it ._>

I chose to give my money for a reason. Mine was a selfish one. I wanted a fire block!!!
We all have our reasons for donating.

 

Cyp gets a part of the money too. It may not be much, but he does, and it's quite obvious sometimes that one of the main reasons Cyp is still in this is for the money.

Yes, it may be a lot to run the server, but they make LOADS of profit. I don't know how many servers noobcrew pwns, but let's say 4. It costs $16,000 per year for all 4 including forums ect. (Example). People donate hundreds every month, let's say around 500 every month per server (I am just guessing, but I feel like they do earn that) 500 x 4 = 2000. 2000 x 12 = 24,000. So in my example, they are making 8000 profit per year. This is an EXAMPLE. I think they earn MUCH MUCH more.

Trust me, cyp earns money from this. Why would he be running it if he didnt make profit? It's like a job (or a small job) for him I recon, I guarantee that he does earn some kind of caching. That's like a youtuber with over 1 million subs only doing it for "fun" and actually not wanting youtube money. Pointless.
