Just curious, what do you guys think about the Minecraft fan-base? I miss the good old days when I built dirt houses back in around when the popularity was only beginning, now If I'm honest, I find that the fan-base is filled with kids recording Minecraft videos for YouTube or whatever, seems to have changed a lot.
That's true. Once paul started getting popular on youtube, many more people bought minecraft, then everyone wanted to make a youtube channel because "hey easy money!11!111! !one" There is still quite a sizable portion of the community is more mature, but now, the majority of it is kids, I'd say under the age of 12 or 13.
Yeah... I miss the older days when you did not have Polar Bears.. Or Shields... I would rather play 1.7.5 ANY day...
1.6.4 was my favorite version. I remember my computer lagged because I had so many good mods. The mods as well suck too.
I more-so miss the old Minecraft, some of the updates have imo taken it a bit far. It used to be popular for being a simplistic sandbox game, now its gotten a little past the simple days.
What I really like is that Minecraft brings people together. Players work on projects together. Friendships are made. Minecraft will always evolve and content will be created during this process. The content may draw in new players who join communities, like this one. New friends. New experiences. And the cycle continues.
