If you need help with the sphere model, I did find a useful utility for calculating voxel spheres. Also gives you the exact number of block needed in the top right corner. I could easily build it, I would just need some time to do it. As I am not active, you may only want to come to me if no body else will for the price you want.

Simply put: I don't know. I would want to know the radius/diameter before hand, and the center. Maybe 1 grass block per 250 or 500 blocks placed? Also, I would probably need to work on it when you are offline because that could take me one or a few hours to build.
I want a diameter of 31 so you would have to branch out 15 from each side of the bedrock, 15 + 15 + 1 (Bedrock) = 31. 31 from top of dome to bottom. I will already start by building a floating island and you can build the sphere around it. Thank you for your time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I will leave my offer up. Based on those numbers, I would do maybe 6 grass blocks, as it does take away from development time. If nobody has a better offer, then private message me.

Are you sure? A diamond seems a bit much for me just to build a sphere. Also, figured I mention that I have to do it tomorrow or any night for the next few days. Thursday, I will be flying to California, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is the Roblox Developer Conference (no Minecraft then).
It takes me 4 minutes (or even less) to yield and replant 64 logs with a godded axe. I can sell those logs 1 grass. That's 15 Grass per hours, that doesn't require much concentration and skills. Building a sphere 2 hours long for 6 grass is unbeatable.
I don't really need that much in terms of grass blocks these days. I have a lot on hand and I don't spend a lot of it due to my inactivity, plus I don't feel the want to overcharge if I am not even going to spend the grass blocks I get from this.
