That's a console ban I think, usually mods put signatures and reasons.

Console can catch language, like I said a mod usually will put a signature.

Looking at the picture it was a mod ban. Like the date on your computer shows the 27th when then ban will be removed on the 29th

 

Doesn't the console usually do that? I only ask because usually a mod will say "appeal at skyblock.net" with their name but I guess that's just for perm bans?

 

We're supposed to put the reason for the ban, and an identifier to who's ban it was, on every ban, whether it's temporary or not.

As Lucy said, it's likely to be a mod ban, as console bans are only half an hour. It's possible that the mod banned quickly to get the rule breaker off the server, and just forgot to redo the ban message after.

Why was there no ban message?

 

As stated, the Moderator possibly rushed to executed the command, in this instance temporarily banning him to get him off the server as quick as possible for whatever reason, therefore forgetting to state a reason for the ban. This is a common mistake.

 

For players whose offenses require that they are removed from the server immediately, many moderators will ban them without a message and then reban with a proper ban message, but we can't notify the player that the ban message has changed since the one they originally saw.
