When threads are closed it is still possible to "participate" to the thread by Rating the Posts in it. I think that this shouldn't be possible as when it's closed... it's closed.

 

Support, it does get pretty annoying.

 

It could also be classified as Rate Abuse in some ways. I have seen this suggestion posted once before and I definitely agree with this as it will resolve a lot of issues and just tidy things up a tad.

I don't think you've been rude either. But if I get it right, you don't support something solely because you deem it technically not doable. This beats the definition of the word "Support".

 

Yes, I often see this kind of threads and always know it's not gonna happen but still people continue repeating it. Unless there is a certain plugin supporting it, it's unnecessary to do a suggest it. This might sound rude but I believe that this may help future post to get even more realistic because there is no point to waste energy on something that won't lead to anything in my opinion.

OK now Krissy has confirmed it is not doable to remove Rating capabilities from locked threads, this can be closed. But it would be much appreciated that an eye is kept on it should the forum engine allow such modification one day.

I don't think that a Suggestion should be rated by its feasability. This one is needed, unfortunately it's not doable. But if you don't Support, it might not be implemented the day it might well be doable (well I exagerate, but you get the Point). This is what I expressed through my "fake quote", which is, btw, not mentioned with a single word in the Forum rules.

Might be, but since it wasn't done in an abusive way, but as a paraphrase... also, by clicking on the arrow above the Quote, you are redirected to the original, which makes it impossible to purposefully make fake quotes.

You faked a quote of me saying that I don't care about world peace. That is abusing in my eye and you should in my opinion receive a punishment for your action.
