Owning an island with many minigames attracts all sorts of trolls and pests, they enderpearl or /jump or hack their way into places they shouldn't be, and places where they can steal things while others play minigames. Most of the time when a pest comes, there is no staff member online to remove them from the island, so they can just keep trolling. This ruins the fun and stops many players from profiting from games etc. It would be so easy to just add a kick function to send players to spawn or their own island if they refuse to leave. Obviously you could only kick people who are on your own island, for obvious reasons. And before anyone comments "yeah but you can just report them duh", reporting the player won't make them leave, it'll just get them warned at a later time, they can still troll and it can sometimes take ages for a mod to get online. TLDR: Let us kick people off our islands, we don't want pests being pests when staff are offline. EDIT: I think any coop member should be able to kick players (Except other coop members), and if coop members abuse it, the leader can just /coop kick
IF this does get implemented into skyblock.net may I ask, does only the island leader get this perm? or the coop members? Also, if your gonna me that one troooooololololol and kick your own coop members and shiz like that it would be annoying, neutral
This does not affect scamming in any way, trading should always be recorded anyway. And players would be kicked to a safe location, so they don't lose anything. EDIT: I think any coop member should be able to kick players (Except other coop members), and if coop members abuse it, the leader can just /coop kick
No support, as people can kick for negative reasons such as scamming, or when you are getting screenies to report people, they could kick you.
Sorry to seem rude, but you people need to read what I've mentioned before criticizing the idea. This is why I just clearly stated: "This does not affect scamming in any way, trading should be recorded anyway."
I'm sure they HAVE read what you've posted. That's just them stating their opinion. I see both sides myself, but I still believe it's a bad idea. Like they've said, it would promote scamming with them thinking that if they receive the item first, they can just kick the player off of their island. Not all people know how to record the trades, and frankly we shouldn't have to. There should be some level of trust while trading in my opinion e_e But. No support.
Quit disagreeing with everything man! And I did read it, and it will most likely cause even more scamming.
I just find it stupid how we have to wait for a member of staff to come online (if they do) to kick some troll from your island. Making a rule that says "If you're asked to leave an island, leave" isn't going to stop trolls, they don't care about the rules.
I really like this suggestion, however there are many negative sides to it. The most common example is scamming. Of course people record if it's a big trade, sometimes little, but here is why it can be used for scamming. Lets say you are going to give someone 30 mob spawners for 1 beacon. They are on your island, they say I can go first. They throw the beacon and you get it, you quickly lock your island then do /island kick <player> and it gets rid of them. Although they probably have recorded that trade it's still risky that you are being scammed. Also, if you do /island kick <player> if they are a donor they can just keep doing /back and that gets annoying. A mod can handle the kicking off your island, it's totally fine. If they won't get off your island message an online moderator, if there are no moderators online you can message online one of the forums. Very rarely maybe like at 3 A.M. for me there we no moderators in /economy, /survival, or the forums. This is due to time zones and how early it is for some people. In case that happens, just wait for a moderator to come online either the forums or in game. I have to say no support due to the reasons stated above too.
Neutral, this had been suggested before. It could come in handy if you are being greifed, but it could also make scamming easier.
No support, reasons are stated above. This could be used for scamming easily (after a player drops an item in a trade, you can /island kick them).
I don't see how kicking them would make a difference. It's no different from just teleporting yourself away from the trade, instead you're teleporting them. And in recorded proof, if you try to claim the victim is actually the scammer, the evidence is there that you kicked them. Your criticisms seem invalid. And I'm open to agreeing with valid points, but so far, nobody has made a valid point that actually makes this a negative feature.
I actually support it, seems useful. Sure scamming is possible, but if people film the trade it is a sure ban for the thief, just make sure you always record all trades (or at least do it with unknown people).
See, scamming's always going to be possible, this wouldn't increase scamming rates, because one command isn't going to turn the whole server into scammers.
