Like TannerLittle said about forums taking 1 second, there is really no need for /report since like 30 people can do it at the same time and it can spam the moderator. I will never use /report even if it happens since I am old school and still use the forums report since I will never get use to /report.

 

The wonderful thing about having custom programs is that you have full control over everything. Super easy to make it only register one report per player in a short amount of time, in case multiple players report the same person in a short window.

 

That is true, the forums has the whole package, but /report is only words. You cannot send proof through /report unless a moderator is online and see's what is happening. Also, /report can only work for spam, advertising, and inappropriate things since you can't report griefs and scams through words or they will not be accepted.

 

Yes, although my extension of the idea would only work for chat offenses, the proof would be undeniable. If the plugin were to create all /report forum reports from a special account that no player has access to (since it's all automated), then just from being posted by that account would verify that the messages are real.

Maybe, all the reports people send in IG will be on a private topic that only staff can access in case they are not in game. /report can be seen IG by staff and seen on the private topic. :c.

I'll support, however the user will not be able to support their claim with images. Maybe instead it should be like a counter. After so many reports in-game. A punishment is placed or something like that

Support, would be helpful for players who do not own a forum account, and maybe moderators will see the report quicker than on forums. However, how will they post proof with the report?
