I was just thinking what the server needed to improve, and i thought of other servers then i automaticly thought spleef! I know how to build one and could do a nice design i would just need
a few mods help and some supplies. I would love to know what you think.

What is 'spleef'? Could you go into detail.

 

Sure spleef is where you have an arena full of snow, underneth the snow is lava each person is given a shoval and they have to break the snow trying to get the other person out (into the lava)

This raises questions:
who will play with you?
how will you maintain it?

 

I asked noobcrew, and he gave me a short answer: lag

 

How would it make lag? It seems non lag inducing to me.

Short answer: its features vs. lag/instabliy/reduced users.
Why? In short, 1.3+bukkit still has some bugs, which may be reduced in 1.4 in a couple weeks.

 

So that means spleef in 1.4?

Write Mojang, and go to Bukkit Forums. Join the hundreds of server owners and players that agree. But they just are not going to do it, since 1.3 is about to be obsolete.

 

The server owner is very strict about lag on his server, he will not put anything on his server that causes too much lag.

 

Look at the fact that mobs can be massed spawned? He isn't like 2700% strict.

 

Well, really no one likes lag, and it doesn't set a good impression for newcomers

Yeah, animals shouldn't be bred and bred, but the reason people do that is for the drops

 

Actually, cobble will spawn at different rates depending on the direction you mine it from.
