You have probably protected the chest using lockette (the sign with the [Private] label and your name right underneath it). By changing your name, the game no longer "thinks" that you are the owner of the container...

 

Please put your island coordinates in this [Hide ] (Your island coords) [/Hide ] without any spaces inside the square brackets. I will show you what it looks like.
