I was recently "Verbally warned" for something I posted on a members profile. Seems fair enough except I had posted it more than a week prior. It had been so long in fact I had to check my activity to figure out what it may have been because I couldn't for the life of me remember.

Now the mod who warned me locked the conversation upon it's creation so that I could not ask for a screenshot of what exactly I wrote. I assume it had the word "p***s" in it. The user had a poorly drawn p***s as his profile picture and I was complaining about it's lack of detail. Non the less I posted my comment, reported the not so exciting p***s picture and went about my way.

Now that was on the 10th.
I came back today to say hello(I'm not the most active here) to find I was warned and my post deleted on Thursday. Exactly a week latter. So fine I guess. I could have ignored the whole thing and moved along but it really bothered me that I was given a warning here. I have a clean record and being warned for something that I had done more than a week prior seems unfair.

I moderate/admin a few servers myself and I've ran across posts that were in need of editing or deletion or even seen players report old posts for being foul and rightfully so! They should be taken down, but a warning given? I don't agree.

    My question here is this:
    • Is this common practice here?
    • If this was a screenshot for a in-game report that was a week old, would you warn the member then?
    • And why would a staff member lock the convo? Do you want threads like this posted asking the questions that should have been in the PM that is generated upon warning the member automatically?
Staff members are here to help users.
Not hand out unnecessary warnings for old af posts.

Don't know which mod did what, but if I may say that there are plenty of young children playing on the server. Terms like the one you used, although a body part, leads into inappropriate subjects which is most definitely not the goal of this server. If a mod truly believes that the subject being spoken of is not proper for the server's atmosphere, then in my opinion they have every right to warn.

Each mod has their own way of moderating, of course. Us being different people and all, you really can't expect us all to perform in the same robotic way. As previously said, if a moderator believes it is worthy of a warn, then they shall do so. Along with our responsibility of helping out around the server, we have to maintain a clean and safe place for players to play. I hope that is understandable.

I don't know much about the conversation, so I'm not going to put my word on that, but if you are requesting proof, couldn't you send another PM and find out more about the warning given?

Anything within 2 weeks can be used. Only if a post exceeds 2 weeks does it lose it's viability

I have started a convo with him asking what it was I was warned for. I've gotten no reply as of yet. I'm sure he will reply when he is able.
As for the word "p***s" I see no wrong with it. I am a mother and if your child is reading this thread here right now they have been around the internet or even in school long enough to know what a p***s is. I'm sure there are far worse words that have been said here besides the proper term for the genitalia. :/
I can only guess what was said as I have no access to see deleted content here.

Go to pile's profile, go under warnings and look at the most recent one. As a full mod I'm pretty sure you're able to see who assigned it and for what. Just click on the infraction and you can see the info for it.

Anways Pile "old af" isn't a week. Besides it's a level 0 infraction. Normal users can't even see it anymore, and no one wouldn't have known that you even got it aside from the mods of course. Don't really see at point to this thread aside from you complaining about a mod publicly. You could have just solved this by Pm. Your questions
    1. This is a pretty specific incident how often do you think it happens? I've never heard of it happening, but most people don't make a thread over 1 warning point.
    2. Check the rules this is stated clearly. Or Cyp mentioned it on the Twitter. Evidence needs to be within 2 weeks.
    3. They could have accidentally locked it, maybe they just don't want people responding to it who knows. You're saying that if a mod locks a convo you have no other choice but to make a public thread and call out the mod. You couldn't oh you know make another pm and just wait for them to respond or anything. Just be patient.

I made a public thread because I was warned for the word p***s. I don't feel it justifies a "staff report" and there is no "rant" section here so I am bringing light to the subject publicly. I had a blemish free 3 years here and I don't feel the word "p***s" justifies ruining that.

    It's just a warning...
If you are confident that it wasn't given fairly, talk about it with the person that issued it, not with the rest of us.
    You're just repeating what has apparently earned you the warning in the first place. ;~;

If it's the first time you've said it, then yes, it justifies it.
This isn't an older-oriented forum, so even small things like that aren't tolerated.
