So me, Sega_inc and ___Gummi___ were talking about how net mods becomes also org mods here. And how they aren't active. For example blaq Gxshiee Kerahna And larry that was on before 38 minutes. I know that they are both mods on net and org. But I rarely ever seen them on. They get on for 30 minutes and leave. But I see them more active in net than in org. So my idea is to promote Org Players instead of letting Net mods to be also mods in org because most org players are active and know how the server works more than net mods.
I mean the grammar isn't the best on this, but I totally agree. Org is run by 5 mods. 5. While the rest are either always on net or they are inactive. We need more ORG players running ORG. Not NET players. Net players don't understand org the way org players do. They only want the org mod status because they are "popular" and everyone talks to them.
They originally applied to be a net moderator. They don't have to moderate org. Super Mod basically gives them more perms on net really.
Yes but cyp continues to keep them on org. You can be a super mod on net without having to have the mod rank on org.
I believe that in order to get a more effective team that no mod would be permitted to moderate org and net however can moderate net/org + skywars. However this is really a non issue. Cyp realises that those mods are primarily net and it would not affect the promotion of new mods. I see timezone as more of an issue to be frank.
I do support this. i dont mean to sound harsh but the other mods that take up it, are wasting spots for people who want to moderate badly.
Having smods on both servers is helpful for when people need an smod - I can hop on .net and say "LARRY COME HERE PLS" Just sayin. Also #shotsfired
I usually find myself agreeing with you, but I disagree with this for the reason I stated above. Some players are fairly active on both and can be mods on both. However, if we're gonna have more dual server mods, I think that defeats the purpose of having two separate application forums. Lol
I'm gonna through this out. Net people and Org people are different. Yes, I know that breaks laws of "equality", but it's true. Our people deserve a shot at what they do, that shouldn't be easily changed around. To me, it just looks like we have mods, but who do we really have? I understand we are smaller, but it's still nice to have our own people do the job of their server. You may not need the prefix to do your part, but a lot of people WANT to do more. We as a community agreed on this. We think that inactivity should be a thing to just say "Ok, you can be Smod there, but prove you can Mod Org just the same". I understand we may not always have qualified people for Mod, but the point stands that our people want to be left as themselves. The Net mods that transferred, I like. I really do. This isn't an attack on them, it's merely the idea of having Full Mods who are dedicated to their own. If we have dual mods, they have to focus on two. This also lessens the chance of a Tmod working his/her way to promotion. The spots get filled and we assume everything is fine and dandy, but do they really do their Org duties. I am not saying they don't, as much as they need to be devoted to the community, because it's their duty. I may be making this sound WAY MORE than it really is, but it's the thought we've had. The Org voice wants to speak. This doesn't mean anything will happen, just us speaking on what we feel. One last thing could be this heat. The rush of "Oh! Oh! Go be active so I can prove wrong and keep this title". Now, I said COULD, not is. So, in all, we wish for our players to be heard as themselves. They want to speak on their behalf. They love their community, and it means they don't have two servers to watch, they have their own to just be there for. Do not take this as hate, please just hear us out. I have said 'we and us", for that fact it's all of us, not just one individual. Thank you for reading our call.
Alright as a former "global" moderator I will give my perspective on this issue, probably a little better than above because I see a lot more points raised. Lets start here. This is untrue. Back when supermods were promoted they were able to gain mod on org without needing to ask. In fact Blaq has always maintained he never asked to be an org mod. He was given it when he got supermod. In my case I asked for it. The mods that asked Cyp recently did because they felt there were a lack of mods on org and they could help out. They did not pressure the admin into choosing them. Wilbo is a fantastic net mod and he is dedicated to each server he moderates. In no way, shape or form did he ask because of popularity. He may not understand the community as much as org players but he knows enough to help you all out when you need it most. I find your statement very rude. Incorrect. When I was an org mod I was so scared that I was stopping people from getting mod. But I wasn't. There is an awareness of my main server and that was always net. So if someone from org applies and their application is good and they are capable then they are chosen, it is not dependent on mods from net being there or not. Now thats out the way I will make my point. Org does need active mods who are completely dedicated. I do not disagree on that part. If a mod cannot be active on the servers they moderate then they should consider "resigning". What I do think, however, is that the Org team has enough staff, however not enough promotions, and not enough mods to cover each timezone. Org is primarily US dominated with some Aus mods and no active UK mods. I do think more org players should be given a chance, but it doesn't seem like it was the admins intention to promote new staff for org when he allowed net mods to help out on org. In short I see no issues with things the way they are except the org team needs timezone balancing and a few tmods to become full mods. Maybe stricter rules governing "global" moderators. I get what you are saying and the concerns. I cannot help but think it is because active org players missed out on mod when two people became org mods recently. When it comes down to it all that is needed is a moderated server.
Not really. Some moderators do need a wake up call. One that comes from going back to not having permissions. Certainly that is how I have learned. But something needs to be done that pushes the moderators to actually do more for the community because some think having the title is enough, and logging in and getting kicks means they are doing their job.
To be honest one of the owners of the server never even bothers to come on ;P Cyp pretty much does all the work. I don't think I have seen Noob promote mods and he never does the forum changes. He is quite inactive in-game aswell. Is it just me or am I crazy??
Oh I really do not want to go against .Net super mods but this?? This is for .net. It is not only just for org. I must credit some super mods such as Kerahna, RobloxianRoblox, Larrythebird, and when Krissy was a mod (She was just epic). But I mean this??? For the server they are SUPPOSED to moderate. I mean Cmon??? Images uploaded.
