Alright, so recently Cypriot added two ratings to Applications and Suggestions. The support & no support button. You think these are original, right? Not even close. These ratings belong to Dewbious He custom made those for his forums; not here. He did not consent to them being distributed here. I understand how Cypriot might not have known about these being custom made for their forums, but it would be nice to at least ask before doing this and give them credit for it. I know this might hurt my moderation rank on Mineverse, and even being banned and such. But it's straight-up wrong to steal their CUSTOM MADE ratings. New Ratings. | Skyblock Forums If you're going to use them, at least try and use custom-made/other images. In replacement, I have found some other public ratings that you could possibly use: Green- Support Minus- No support Equal- Neutral
I suppose if they were taken then it would be incorrect to continue to use them without permission. Im not sure why you couldn't just pm Cyp about this as he didn't know and it is incorrect to publicly shame over it.
The icons that were used were designed for another server's forums and I would much rather see an original image here. One that is not a copy. TBH I'm sad to see that these same icons were suggested by one of that servers' most popular members. :/
Well said TADS4. Well said. They do need a neutral one tbh. I just had a look (don't advertise) and I see that half the ratings belong to the creator of them.
I don't think anyone is shaming. More bringing light to the situation. Not everyone has him on Skype or has a direct line of communication.
As a staff, whether or not it is here or mineverse should at least attempt to bring up the issue in private first as this is a more serious matter. I don't know what Cyp thinks of threads like this but if this was about me I would see it as shaming my actions rather than helping.
Inb4 he just deletes the thread. You know that Pming him is super inefficient. He most likely wouldn't get a response for a long time. Anyways the co owner of that server is geek, so I doubt that he got permission/will ever get permission to use those ratings.
I love the idea of having a support and no support icon. Something other than the ones being used currently tho. I doubt Cyp and Crew even knew that these were original images designed by another server owner. I've messaged Cyp. I guess we'll see what happens from here.
I didn't know the icons were from another forums. I don't know why you would think it would affect your moderation rank, thanks for letting me know. I contacted Geekxboy and he's going to contact Dewbious for me and see if he will let us keep the icons. If not, I'll look into having the icons custom made for us or i'll just use the ones you attached to the thread.
