I don't think I'm alone in thinking this, but I've known this for awhile, and the horrible truth that goes along with it. This server is not equal. At all. If this wasn't true, then explain the recent thread, made by kaybubs, about donors thinking that they are higher than others. (Being a donor, my standpoint on that topic was that everyone should be equal, which in all honesty, is why I made this thread). My goal in making this is to gain equality on Skyblock. Yes, I know this is far-fetched. Yes, I know this will be hard to accomplish. But, the final thing that I know? We can do it. We need to find a way to make it so that everyone is welcome, no one is above anyone, not donors, nor mods. Donors? Their purpose in this community is simple. Keep it running, and keep the economy flowing with more items. Mods? Their purpose in this community is simple as well. Keep the server calm, legitimate, and safe. And Non-Donors? They have the easiest purpose. Keeping the server populated, and fun, of course. But, as I've stated, this hasn't been what's been going on in the server, and it hasn't been like it should be for a long time. So I ask of you one simple request. Do your part.
I once stated this. I once fought for this. My position as a mod was for this. I wanted to spread the word of this though many writings. People just don't care as much. I feel great potential to restore the community, but it requires everyone. But alas, such as the real world, popularity takes over. Once again, we may have a shot to change this, if we all pitch in, together. In the end, I agree with you.
Agreed. I get so annoyed when people refuse to let greenies join their island just because they have no rank. You're a donor? Good for you. It's not better than anyone else.
Mhm. All those chat requests of "Donor 50+ or skygod want to join my island?" No. The amount you have chosen to support the server by, or the rank you chose to donate for doesn't make you any more intelligent/ friendly. Just because you were able to get an upgrade in-game, or your bank account allows for you to get a slightly higher rank than some other players means nothing.
The only reason that people actually say "Donors wanna join mai isle pls" is because, surprise, people are greedy. They want the kits and the perks. Though they aren't even worth it in the long run. Coops should be run by friendship, not greed.
Personally, I care more about politics than this because politics is more applicable to life. Does that mean that I don't care about this? No, I do care about this, but it shouldn't be the top of our priorities, and I'm sure that I'm not alone on this one.
I don't believe that everyone will ever be equal. It just cannot be done. People will always have advantages and disadvantages. What I do hope is those with the most advantages help the disadvantaged.
My goal in this isn't full equality mainly, although I did state that in my title. My goal is to make this server a better place for everyone, instead of a spammy, griefed hell.
This would be nice, however equality is impossible to reach and personally I don't know why anyone would want to reach it. We all have different roles and ranks. So my question is, if we all have different jobs and ranks then are we all equal? Well, no we are not. And this is what in Usa and other countries don't really get; If we just get along and treat others with respect there's no need for equality. If you think you are better than someone go ahead and be all egotistical and think that, but just don't make your view public.
I tried once, got lectured for it, then dismissed of it. Idk sure give it a go, but yes, it'll be very hard.
Donors can be nice or mean, just depends on the person. Same thing goes for greenies. Equality is something that people can reach but some people choose not to.
When i was greenie in net, I was treated unfairly by donors. For example. Only donors can come to a certain casino. And i was sad.
I agree, but there are some greenies who fight back. They say: "welcome to my skin comp! No donors allowed" The world will never be equal, people just have to... Deal with it. That's just life
Though I do prefer being a nice donor, being mean isn't fun. Nor is it fun to be treated in a mean manner
Only idiots believe others are worth more based on a simple rank. I judge you by what you say and do. Therefore, I find a lot of idiots amoung non-donors and donors alike. Not really contributing here, but I think it's fun to declare people to be idiots :'D
