Alright, so you might've thought this would be about us getting /fix, (because of the title) but no, unfortunately it's not. So anyways, we have a wonderful staff team, right? Yes, agreed. We have amazing staff members, but the thing is, I'm lost at whether they're not active enough, or there's not enough. So, being who I am, I wanted org to be a safe, welcoming place and people always tell me to stop "mini modding" but there are most of the time, no mods on. So, I've been looking at the staff list, pretty carefully, and over the course of one week, we have had two staff members demoted. That brings us down to a total of 17 staff members. That's a lot, right? Yea, well some of them are never active, nor do they help a lot in chat. For example, take blaq, Gxshiee, and Kerahna for example. If you ever go on net, they are wonderful staff members. They are also an org staff member, but they're main focus is on net and they don't come on org unless someone messages them from net or on forums pretty much. That brings us down to 14 active staff members. So now, we have Cypriot and Noobcrew, they are both the best server owners any server could ask for, and I'm sure they're really busy with the server and all, but they don't have the time to play and moderate other players / help them out. (It's because they're busy helping the server operate, etc) That brings us down to 12. So then there's Zambiana which he/she's not so active, but there comes a time when I see the player online and helping. I wouldn't consider this person an "active staff member" on the server, but I would consider them an "active staff member" on the forums since he/she is now (Sean) and is busy with forum administrating. That's 11. So now to the other two super mods, Larry and Roblox. So these two, yet again, are net moderators, and I'm pretty sure their main concern is net as of right now, so they spend less time on org. Overall, they're really really helpful and kind, but I think those two should be a bit more active. 9 more ! So I'm going to review the full mods now, BOTBaccalord and SakuraWolf! Okay, so Bot has been gone for a while, don't know why or what happened, he was a good, active, helping mod before, but I haven't seen him on for a long time ;-;. Now, Sakura. Sakura is a great moderator. She is an amazing person, she helps, she's mature, she's active, she is friendly, and un-biased. She would be the perfect super mod. Now it leaves us with 7 Staff (1 active so far). The rest of these are Trial Moderators. So Chibi... Chibi overall is a good staff member, committed to what she's doing, and were In different time zones and sometimes I see her online, so that's good. But since I'm basing this off my time zone, I'm going to consider this player as inactive (Don't worry Chibi, you're active, it's just for my time zone). Then there's Fintan. I saw this player on a lot, helping and chatting around, but I noticed a slight change in activity. This player isn't so active anymore, so yea :/. Update: 5 staff left - 1 active! Okay, Geonecis is a perfect example of a trial moderator who is ready to be promoted. She is one of the most active trial moderators we have, so I think she would be a good full mod. Now for Sarahlol567. She isn't active, and forum-wise, she only has about 19 messages and has been around for about a year. I haven't seen this player help in game, so that's another inactive to add . 3 staff left - 2 active. Sega, and Tribal, are two great moderators. They're on a lot, they're helping all the time, they can get funny, then get strict due to a certain situation. I think they're (along with geo) ready for full mod. Now, last one, xStarx is a trial moderator, who just stated college.. She doesn't have much time to play on the server, but the player was active and helped pretty much. I have seen a little less of xStar, so that's why she's part of the inactive squad now Final Result - Out of 19 Staff Members, 4 of them are active. It kind of gets me frustrated since every time I log into net, there's at least 3 staff members on, but on org? There's usually 0-1 staff on, except for Saturday's and Sunday's. Oops. Time to jack up my play time from 12 hours a day to 23. Need dat one hour nap. And to be fair to Sarah and Star, Sarah is currently at boarding school, where she doesn't have much access other than minechat every now and then. As for Star.. MineCraft gets continuously blocked on her internet. Hopefully both can be back soon </3 I do agree that we lack many things. - We no longer have an active Super Mod. - We have 1/4 Active Full Mods. - We have an amazing Trial Mod team, some which lack activity, and the others that just don't seem ready for full mod yet. Sega and I are probably the most active TMod's, but honestly we've been TMod's for just over a month, we're not quite ready for full mod yet, Sakura is still teacher us the ways. ( Chibi is also an active TMod, and has been a TMod for a year now. But he's still a newbie to Org, so give him a few months to get comfy. ) So things that could change. - Sakura to Super Mod. - Promote a few TMod's to Full. - Bring in new TMod's.
I've noticed quite a few players have noticed my inactivity. Of course, this isn't permanent, I've started college and I'm just needing some time to get used to everything as it was way different back in middle school/intermediate. I normally come online in the afternoons but I now come online late at night if I have the chance too. I will be helping out on forums if needed and I may be on TeamSpeak too. Edit: My dad does block off MineCraft and TeamSpeak as he says it's 'distracting' and 'unimportant'. This situation will hopefully be solved so I can be active again c: My dad just doesn't think I can balance moderating and school
I agree firmly on this. Org has become the lack of order. Org needs to be moderated at all times. We may not rack in a lot of people, but we don't rack in a lot of help either. There are times when all mods are not able to get on due to real life. This would be fixed if we had more active staff. There are people on the staff team who don't come on ever, leaving the others to do all the work. I for one think that SakuraWolf could use some major help with moderating, along with our wonderful tnubs. In all fairness there are great applicants on Org's App feed.
I'd really like to see; - Sakura as a SMod - Tribal as a FMod - Fintan238 as a FMod and SkyWars Mod and a few new TNubs c:< *Cough cough* Survy *Cough Sneeze*
Imo, -totally gonna sound egotistical but I'm sure a few will agree.- Sakura to SMod. Myself, Sega, and Chibi to FMod. Bring in new TMods. ^ Would solve many issues.
Maybe temp. Demote Sarah so she doesn't need to feel the pressure to mod when she needs to focus on school? Promoting Survy would be a great idea though
