Hi, my name is X, I'm Y years old. Every day I eat food that prevents me from starving, go to school, where I get knowledge that will help in the future to get money, sleep on soft bed with the blanket on in very warm and cosy room. My family has 3 cars, I have 2 computers, PS4, PS3, skateboard, bike, Netflix, TV, tons of clothes, I have access to the Internet and I'm not aware of getting murdered by criminals at night. But I'm so depressed, people! Please, have pity for me, I cry while eating food because my new boyfriend dumped me. I cry because I wasn't able to go in the cinema to see the movie I really wanted to see. I cry because some user on the Internet bullied me and it makes me really, really sad. I'm so unlucky.
Well, the first thing you can do is to realize that you are luckier than other people who have worst conditions. There are 7 billion people in the world. Don't let one ruin your day.
Just ignore bullies. They are bad.. As chocolate said. You realize that you are luckier than other people who have worst conditions.
Lol Anyway here's what I dislike... Everyone has their own version of issues, hardship and things that make them feel depressed. No one should feel like their issues are irrelevant because someone has it worse. Its like saying "you are not allowed to be depressed because theres a starving child in Africa". "Don't complain about having cancer, you have the money for treatment, what about the starving kids in Africa" But on that note some people do have a lot of material goods that they should be grateful for and all that. But depression isn't going to be cured by them. But while my belief is that all issues that cause someone to be depressed is relevant I also do get annoyed with people who get depressed over the tiniest things. Things that they have taken for granted. Depression isn't a trend or something to use to describe the feelings you get when you don't get your way either. I can't be bothered elaborating.
Unless person is diagnosed with depression, he has no right to state that he's mentally ill. 90% of those people are just attention seekers.
I doubt people want to announce to everyone they are mentally ill. Though I always believe there is an in between. You are not clinically depressed, but you have those feelings. These are short periods of sadness or feelings of hopelessness in reaction to an event that has caused you distress. That is what people use for attention. Legitimate feelings used to manipulate people for the sake of getting attention.
That's correct, you've just proved my point that majority of those who say that they have depression are attention seekers. ^_^
