Hello folks, I just built like half of a cathedral (you heard me) and was wondering why I couldn't place a block while expanding. I turned around and saw this : I assume the engine won't let me build further so I can't connect to neighboring islands. This is very frustrating seen I built half a cathedral and the other half won't ever exist due to this. How can I anticipate this? Is there like a maximal building range I can count from bedrock? Or is it randomly due to the presence or not of a nearby island? Will I be able to expand if the island (wich looks idle) gets deleted? Will it ever get deleted? Second, minor question: While falling from my island (happened hehe), I saw this: This is a pillar of cobblestone beneath my island. How did it get there? Is it legal to mine? Thank you for taking the time to read and answer.
There's a 99x99 island limit for all islands, and all islands live next to each other. If you can break it without /coop or /trust, it's legal to break (except lava or water griefs and the sort).
Well then I guess I'll have to make a church out of my cathedral... And if I coop or trust with this neighbor, is it possible to merge two islands?
Not really. Bridging is not allowed in general. If both of you were to remove all illegal to trade items like dirt and sand maybe, but it would be pushing it a bit.
