Hello all, and welcome to my [,NET] moderator application. I am known as Chrix by my fellow skyblockers, but my full IGN is chrix32. Let me explain myself first before we get into the format! I am a very old skyblock player from the spring/summer of 2013 in game and then in the winter 2013 I decided to join the forums (woah!). I had played that whole year into 2014, then I stopped playing over the 2015 summer due to life stress. Back on topic, I returned around October and I took my time getting to know others then this feeling of completeness fell upon me and I realized I'm addicted to this server. Now, as I've been back for 3 months, have decided to try to get moderator on this server. I sincerely hope to be a bigger part in the community in this way so thanks for reading my application.

Which languages do you speak?
I speak English the best, but I am also learning French. If i see a French person asking questions, at the least I would be able to know they're speaking french and use a translation site for communication if I can't understand them.


Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?)
No I have never been banned on any Noobcrew server (or any server if this is relevant information). However, I still have seen others make mistakes and I have learned from other peoples bans. I read through ban appeals to get a good insight about how to handle those as a mod, but I have also learned a lot as to what not to do.


Why do you think you should be a mod?

I am / I am a / I have ...

Fast Learner: I learn very quickly, and will be able to figure stuff out on my own.

Rational thinker: this is important. I will never act before I am sure the decision I am making is the righteous one. If I need another opinion, I will not hesitate to ask another mod for their help.

Caring person: I will never think about hurting anyone's feelings, and rather than flame at someone, I will explain what they're doing is incorrect. I will try my hardest to look at it in their shoes

Active: I am on the server and intensely so. When I get on, I am furious in chat in helping others and keeping peace. I am usually on at times when other mods aren't due to my weird schedule.

Humble: as a moderator, I will understand it is my job to take care of others, but no to show myself as above them even if it seems I have more "power" than them.

Experienced: I understand the server well, all the rules, warps, information, even item prices. The most important part of moderating is understanding how the person was griefed or what needs to be done. I have been griefed many times and understand procedure of these circumstances.

Unbiased: I have a super strong opinion of not being bias (rhetorical I know). Even if I know the age, ethnicity, wealth, skill, or position of power on skyblock, I keep an oath to never speak to them different than I would a person of a different group.

Forums activity: I am very active on the forums and have made many suggestions and love to cite my opinion of skyblock affairs. I try to help people who have questions on the forums, and I try to gain knowledge there from asking my own questions. I also fulfill my duty as a skyblocker to make suggestions for the greater good and have so many posts in that section. I usually post in help sections for the benefit of others, and I help tag mods when needed.

Maturity: *"As others have said, I cannot judge my own maturity, but I will say I strive to achieve maturity in the eyes of others." Of course everyone will make a joke, and I understand that, but I will make sure it does not hurt anyone's feelings. As a moderator, your caring for your friends and that is why you apply for it, to help the people you play with on skyblock! My level of seriousness will change to the needs of the people involved in whatever is happening.

Dedication I love all the Noobcrew servers and I wish to help them be netter [especially .NET], so my whole point behind this to it help all the people out there enjoy skyblock more then I do now! I have watched others betray Noobcrew, and it sickened me as we almost saw it go when a Developer quit/was-fired then left a backdoor to do damage.

Persistence: I always keep trying to help others whether it takes a long time or a short time. If I absolutely cannot handle a situation I will make sure to ask a mod to help me and I will also make sure that mod is completely informed about it before I "drop the weight" on him/her.

Fairness: I will always be fair. For example, if John Doe gives a great reason to be unbanned, but is very rude, I will still unban him because that is the fair thing to do (unless I feel he is a danger to other people). As others have noted, if he is rude and refuses to accept responsibility and make the proper actions then I will not unban him as he is a hostile person and will be prone to making repeated mess ups.

Responsible: Anything I do wrong or incorrect, I will admit it and try to fix it. Especially in terms of incorrect bans, mutes, kicks, or reports. I will apologize with sincerity if this is the case. I will also accept any punishment such as demotion, banning, ETC without arguing.

Honesty: I see people all the time lying and stealing and scamming on skyblock. It may be just me, but I can't do it. When i was little friends used to steal stuff from me so now I understand the feeling and could never lie or steal. I will answer all questions truthfully to my fellow staff members, even if it results in demotion or banning. Take Dewmellon for example; She lied, but in the end she told the truth and she got demotion and ridicule. I will do the same, but I won't lie in the first place.

Enjoyment: One reason I should be mod, is for the enjoyment of others. I want to make skyblock such a great server people can't leave once they meet me and also want to donate for the server.

Improving Personality: I have a personality where I strive to improve. This ranges from learning more about the server to answer questions about it, to learning new complex commands or techniques, all the way to making a bad decision (such as incorrect ban) and learning from that.

Reading Skills: I have a love of books and reading, and this will be helpful in the learning process of tmod, and still possibly if I get full mod. I can ask for information on the forums about how to moderate or access threads about tips to moderate and then I will learn quickly from my reading skills. My ability to speed through texts and get the full amount of information I needed is a great trait for a mod on the forums.

Understanding: I have an understanding of what people are trying to ask me because I read a lot of books and deal with many types of people at school. I may prove to be effective understanding what someone is trying to put across because I have memorized from childhood where I could never explain things. When my social skills improved, I still had the ability to understand people who used to have bad socials skills like me. From reading books, I get understanding of what it is like for other people and this will help me understand their situation and help them more. My understanding also allows me ot explain things to people without getting frustrated as I know what its like to be confused on the simplest things.

I have a mentor: Someone close to me has experience moderating in the same ways as skyblock.net exactly, Therefore, if I need quick assistance, I can get some. This may more may not be a reason to get mod, but personally it gives me confidence in my decisions as I have a second opinion on it.



How long can you be active on the server every day?
Monday: 6-8 pm
Tuesday: 6-8 pm
Wednesday: 6-8 pm
Thursday: 6-8 pm
Friday: 6-8 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 1 pm- 5pm and 6pm- 10pm
These are ALL approximate times and I will probably only be on for one hour between these times. However, I will work hard during that hour. Weekends i will possibly be on for upwards of 3 hours, and holidays 6 hours.



Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
No, but I have learned from other moderators, ban appeals, and videos about some commands. I have a personal relationship with someone who moderates and I have first hand knowledge from them about tips and tricks.



Final note: I try my hardest to meet everyone and help everyone on skyblock. Possibly you haven't seen me in-game. Please don't let this impede my chances of being moderator. I'm not a super social guy, so I am more of a behind the scenes guy. Usually I answer questions in PM's and I don't socialize I enjoy watching chat. My main goal is to keep everyone happy and keep everything fair. Tell me if I should be more social in public chat, or if you think me just messaging people and helping out behind the scenes is okay. If i get mod, behind the scenes will be fine, but do I need to try to show my love and care off in public chat? Please leave feedback! I wish anyone a huge thanks for reading it all and help me make it more complete! Also, tell me what colors you guys think are easiest to see because I want people to enjoy reading this, not squint their eyes in pain. If you guys feel I won't qualify as a mod, tell me with any reasons, and I will try my hardest to fix the problem. If I can't, I will accept that and I do want mod, but it's for the community so I'm not trying to force it.

When reviewing my mod app, as a suggestion, state 1 way to be better in game, and 1 way to improve my application! It's fine if you don't, just keep in mind both are equally important to me. The application for cyp, and Ingame for you guys. Moderating will mean nothing to me and I will resign if people don't enjoy my moderating!

Because it's too weird to send it out in chat. However, this week I'll try to speak out in chat and show my love. I've been giving out starter packs for new players, because hoarding has made me incomplete as a person on skyblock. I hope to start anew here! As for the forums, I myself am on for 30 min atleast everyday, but I never go to the off topic where everyone else goes so possibly that's why you believe I am inactive. Most of my posts are in suggestions, guides, and moderator applications.

Well I would look at some of the accepted applications but I would look up colors that attract peoples attention spans like what people who put up ads in billboards do. But that is pretty much the only thing I will give like 100% support if you do a good job. I believe in you Chrix!!
