I am pro-choice. And I know I'm going to regret this because ppl just like to argue, but just because your 16 and pregnant doesn't mean you will get disowned by your parents :( also just because the father leaves doesn't mean you can't do it alone. Some people shouldn't have children, period. But there are some amazing parents that have children at a young age and raise them with a heart full of love. Regardless if the father stays. There are also some parents that help you get through those hard moments and teach you to get on your feet and be the best parent you can be. Back to the topic... No one deserves to be hurt because their choices :( also people go to planned parenthood for more reasons than to get abortions. The shooters logic was idiotic. To add to this... Stay in school, don't get pregnant! Life at this age is already hard enough without a child to watch after.

You were making an insensitive comment towards women who get pregnant because they aren't cautious when it comes to protecting themselves from getting pregnant. I was commenting on it because I don't understand how it makes it any different than anyone else who is getting an abortion. It is not selfish to abort a child, no woman would abort a child just because they're pregnant. Any sane woman would take into account everything that is going on in her life at the time. Just because you have an abortion doesn't mean you don't want kids, maybe it means that you aren't ready for them, which is still a good reason enough to abort if that is something you want to pursue. You would potentially be saving that baby from heartache and hard times because even people who are on their feet with a steady job are scared shitless of having a baby, let alone someone who could be working minimum wage at a McDonalds somewhere.

Also, for what it is worth, statistically speaking.
There are over 100 million children worldwide that are orphaned, 20 thousand who die every die due to starvation and hunger, 5 children die every single day due to child abuse and neglect, and on average 40% of the average American lives paycheck to paycheck.

One life is valuable sure, but why force someone to raise it when they know they can't? That's when the statistics get higher.

What the literal f*** is this thread...
First off, if a person wants an abortion, let them have it. I know older people who have had an abortion because they didn't mean to get pregnant. Its their own life. Holy s***. A kid should be planned. But some like a surprise. Let people live their lives.
A fetus or embryo? Its a stage of development. Theres a difference between killing someone witha conscious and medically putting down someone who cant think and won't even f***ing know it.
If people want an abortion let them, lets keep your religion to yourselves. Whatever religion you are and what you believe, it causes nothing but arguments. Say your opinions but holy s*** leave religious views out of it and say "I believe...". And then lets not bring it back to a reason being Catholic, Atheist, Christian, etc. People should focus more on what they believe over a religion imo.
Sure there are circumstances to why you may get an abortion or keep a kid, its the persons own choice, why the hell do you judge them for their own wants? It's not like everyone has different wants, values, and beliefs.
Also, murder of a person? A person without the ability to know they are one is not much of one. And lets put into perspective that in the future your kid would turn into an Adolf Hitler, would you have wished you got that abortion? Or the complete opposite with regret? You have no way of knowing and its their damn choice.
And, justification? .... you are aware there's a thing called sleep homicide which is where you murder someone while asleep. Please tell me how that is premeditated and how you can be held accountable since theres a case where a guy got up, drove like 20 miles to his wifes family's house. Murdered her parents, was driving home and woke up and drove himself to the police station due to he saw himself covered in blood. And youd arrest people for something they have no idea about but will have regret for anyway?
You can rape someone while asleep, holy s*** the ignorance.
There are many ways to kill a fetus or embryo with bad substances anyway, like jeez.
I couldn't give a s*** less about these topics and arguments... but people like 11-15, give or take some arguing about religion, justification, murder, and all this other s***? Give me a break, like none of you know about it first hand so how about every stops going at each others throats with all of this nonsense of drama, flaming, and ignorance.

Some could say "oh well what if it was your kid?". Well, I'd leave the majority choice up to the girl since its her own body. And due to the fact you can always produce more when you're both ready if that time comes which you both may want one.

Lol. I loved your argument on the topic until you had to edit it to say that it was mainly the woman's choice to choose if she'd get an abortion or not. Not even going to get started on that. ✌️

Kind of contradicting, don't ya think?
I mean, religion is a belief. Christianity gives me a reason to be morally correct. I don't think it's religion that sparks up arguments, it's the ignorance of people. So many people infer that we're all crazy because we believe in something. Because we're passionate about it. I'm willing to give my opinion intertwined with religion, not because I'm some brainwashed child, but because it's a package deal with my beliefs. It's crazy how frustrated people get when we bring up the "R" word. Instead of not talking about religion, let's allow everyone to say their opinion without anyone getting butthurt and forcing their own opinion down someone's throat.

Getting a little off topic now, I'll leave it at that.

Its my opinion, it may not be that way for all. If you want to argue my opinion of having the respect for a girl to choose what she wants go ahead. You wont sway me and you'd probably stay with your beliefs too.

Sinply because you follow a religion doesnt mean you have to follow every tiny aspect of it, and you sill definitely have some differed views or opinions. Its human nature. And religion is one of the main causes of wars. Which is a little bit more than an argument where you say its ignorance.

Religion doesn't start the war. People start the war. Religion is what the war is fought over. Human nature is such that most people cannot accept another way of thinking.

People have beliefs, those religions preach those beliefs. People can be nothing but vessels for those beliefs to continue. And humans act on the beliefs... such as 9/11. If there were no beliefs with radical teachings what type of a world would it be? Religions state the belief and what to think and do.

The radical teachings come from a perversion of the religion. Most religions now are no where near as radical as humans make them. Anyway a world without beliefs would be anarchy. This is getting off-topic though.

Anyway people are making this whole issue way too black and white. It's time to step back and look at things logically. There are millions of possible scenarios, but in general there are a few major ones. One scenario is if protection didn't work. This is the most gray of all of the gray areas. I do not know what my opinion is on this one. Another scenario is rape. I think abortion should be legal in this case. Another scenario is if the mother's or baby's life is in danger. If the baby is going to die or the mother is going to die or both are going to die if the baby comes to term I think that it should be legal. If the mother just wasn't being careful, and she just wants to use it as an expensive form of birth control then I do not think it should be legal in this scenario (yes this does happen. I know it would be nice if it didn't, but human nature stinks.). Another scenario is if the father leaves or is dead. She can give the baby up for adoption, but I don't think abortion should be legal in this scenario. The final major scenario is if the baby will have birth defects. This is the second most gray area. In general I still don't think it should be legal in this scenario, but it may depend some on the level of the birth defects.

Well.. debates are kinda flame wars hahaha.

For me, I'd say it definitely depends on the situation. Life's weird, and everyone's living their own story. We can't say what is and isn't right, through the eyes of others. We all have opinions and perspectives.

Just remember, this isn't some real serious debate, but more of an opinionated thread. We're not here to convince others to agree with one, but instead we're here on a minecraft forums simply discussing the topic. So let's avoid some chaos pl0x

Also... anarchy is caused due to having lack of an authority in which case is the government... having a lack of beliefs would not cause anarchy.
    K done with that

Ok. Maybe not anarchy, but democracy and republic would not work. One of the necessary clauses for a republic or democracy is similar enough ideals to come to a general will. Without that general will democracy and republic are impossible. Without beliefs only a totalitarian society would be possible.
