Never said that it impacted me. I said I don't agree with it, because I see it as murder. Your logic still makes no sense; a kid is a kid, no matter where the kid is. It's going to be a never-ending argument between you and I, no point in continuing it. We obviously have different perspectives.
Murder cannot and will not ever be justified. If it is justified, by definition it becomes no longer murder.
If a fetus/embryo is a human being, so is every sperm cell a man produces and every egg a woman does. So that period you had last month? You killed a human. You jacked off? Killed millions of humans. Condom? Another couple million gone.
Murder: the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. Justified: having, done for, or marked by a good or legitimate reason. There are cases where someone has to die whether it's legal to kill them or not. That does not make it justified. That doesn't make it the right thing to do. That simply makes it the lesser of two evils. This is not a light matter. This is a human life no matter who they are or what they've done. I found this online:
Well, I think it's perfectly fine if you kill someone who was trying to hurt you, or hurting you. #Karma <: EDIT: That was just an example, idek.
Well a cell is the beginning of a living person, so life begins every time a cell divides. So I think you might've killed a few billion humans in your lifetime
No. That's not an example. Self-defense is not murder because it is not illegal. No. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. Your logic is flawed, and your facts are incorrect. For one thing the individual sperm and egg have half of the number of chromosomes necessary to make a human. They are called haploid cells. A regular human cell used to build the body of a human must be diploid. The number of chromosomes in a human cell is 46. Sperm and egg cells have only 23 chromosomes. They are still human cells, but you can not make a human out of individual spermatozoa and ootids (Sperm and egg cells.) Also humans are in the kingdom animalia. This means that we are biologically animals. No animal is single-celled. We are made up of cells, but no. You are wrong. Killing one cell does not kill an animal. All I was saying with my post was that I do not know when a zygote (fertilized egg) is grown enough to be considered a living human being, but I do know when it dies.
Why do people get so worked up on abortion? I had a friend who got pregnant, she wanted nothing more to have the baby and have a nice life. Later on she learned that the child would be born mentally retarded. She got a lot of hate for getting an abortion, she attempted to justify the fact that she hadn't the strength to raise a baby that was mentally deficient into the world. Not everyone can do that, not everyone can see their child bullied their entire life and degraded constantly. Let's look at it from a neutral perspective. It's not your baby, it's not your girlfriend/sister/daughter/whatever, you have no right to step in and tell the woman what she can and cannot do. If a woman gets an abortion without telling the man, then she's pathetic and deserves what she gets, but if they both decide it's for the best, then you have no right to step into that decision. I personally wish the stigma of an abortion will just vanish, it stops children being born into unloved homes and then abused and beaten.
Regardless if a woman becomes pregnant because she is naive and stupid enough not to use protection, doesn't make getting an abortion wrong. How dare you even make a joke like that? I can assure you that any woman who has an abortion has it because they have a true reason to do so. Also I don't think you understand how ovulation and conceiving a child actually works so maybe you shouldn't comment on an abortion thread if you aren't even properly educated about that? Or maybe you shouldn't say insensitive things about having an abortion because it's not just a doctors visit and going on with your day. All the ignorance in this thread, your parents should have aborted.
Also I'm pretty sure none of you have ever been pregnant, so until you're in the position you can't truly judge the act. And to all of you religious nuts with the radically religious family and parents who don't think an abortion would be forced upon you or recommended even though they believe in the bible and go to Church every Sunday, see how coming home as a teenager and telling them that you're pregnant goes. Even though the teenage father has already dipped out of your life and your unborn child's, I'm so sure that they will support you 200% in having the birth of your love child that will never grow up with a father. I'm sure that they will support you even though you haven't even started college yet, they won't even hesitate to tell you to put your life dreams and goals on hold indefinitely so that you can attempt to raise a child. Edited because of the excessive language that was used because I'm still baffled by the idiocy.
My bad, I was under the impression I was allowed to have my own opinion. But I guess I'm only allowed to speak if you agree with me. "I can assure you that any woman who has an abortion has it because they have a true reason to do so." Yeah, the reason sometimes being they were too stupid and selfish to use protection, and all of a sudden it's okay for them to abort life because they made a dumb decision. "Also I don't think you understand how ovulation and conceiving a child actually works so maybe you shouldn't comment on an abortion thread if you aren't even properly educated about that? Or maybe you shouldn't say insensitive things about having an abortion because it's not just a doctors visit and going on with your day." I am perfectly educated about ovulation and conceiving a child. I say "insensitive" things because some, not all, women are selfish for having an abortion. Of course it's not "one doctors visit, then going on with your day". That'd be stupid to think that. Hypocrite, hypocrite, hypocrite. Just because you don't agree with someone's opinion, doesn't mean they're wrong and you're right. I'm obligated to my own opinion, and I'd expect a more intelligent response from someone like you.
