can we please get a world download of the classic server. as a classic player even i don't play on it anymore but would like the ability to always have the memories.
Bandwidth is expensive. 100k 2b2t is only 107 gibiytes (surprisingly little tbh) uncompressed. AWS S3 on the archive access level would make that $3.21 every single download. (that is probably why it's a torrent, tbf)
I'm aware its expensive and I'm willing to pay. also 100k is also just spawn of 2b2t not the entire overworld.
I was there just the other day. Re-living all the memories and so much lost work Just waiting of the day we can move our riches over. It might be time to remove Classic from the webstore though.
Create one yourself, if you can be bothered. The World Downloader mod is free and easily available. Of course it'll be time consuming (potentially many, many days), and the world size would be massive, but hey, at least you have what you're looking for. That's how the 2b2t server maps were made. Not by lending out world files to everyone. Most world downloads of pretty much all servers were made by downloading them through a mod. World files are usually only made available when a server shuts down.
