What happens when you mix acids and bases?

What are acids and bases to get this started?

Acids: A chemical that can dissolve some metals, neutralizes alkalis, and it turns litmus red. It usually has a bitter or corrosive taste.

Bases: A substance that neutralizes hydrogen ions.

So, what happens when you mix these two neutralizers together? Well, when you mix them together, you get a chemical reaction called neutralisation reaction. This reaction is called that because they both come together to create salt and water.

    1. When a strong acid and weak base are mixed, the salt formed is an acidic salt.
    2. When a strong base and weak acid are mixed, the salt formed is a basic salt.
    3. When both the acid and base are strong, then the salt formed is a neutral salt .

If you get acid in your eye, you have 30 seconds to get to an eyewash.
    Base, 15 seconds.
    Learned that in Biology xD
