What happens when bees sting you?

It is a common misconception that worker bees will die after stinging you once. That may be true in some cases, but if the stinger is not ripped from the bees body after stinging you then it will not die. If the stinger is ripped from its body, the stinger will be lodged into your body where you were stung and the bee will die in moments. After the bee stings your body, there will be temporary pain located at and around the area you were stung. Most of the time it will swell up and begin to itch frequently. Some of your body parts are more sensitive than others but your face will swell up the most.

Bee stings are, in most cases, harmless. They are sometimes beneficial and are used as treatment in some parts of the world for arthritis and MS. Some people are highly allergic to bee stings and if stung can be deadly or sometimes fatal. Bees inject venom into you with their stinger. You should remove the stinger as soon as possible so you do not inject so much venom into you. If you remove the stinger quicker, the less the effects will have on you. In most cases, if you stay calm after being stung, it minimizes the pain to only a little. If you are stung, do not pay much attention to it. The more you ignore it, the faster it will go away.

Not all bees can hurt you, the bee doesn't sting you because it wants to hurt you, it stings you by accident or because you're a threat. Bees that pollinate plants also cannot sting you, these bees are vital to plants, without bees the plants will die.

 

What's the difference between deadly and fatal?

 

I was once stung just under my eye, and I didn't notice it until it started itching. I remember being in class and someone told my my eye was blood shot and was closing up, I told them it "felt like a truck was stuck in my eye"

You could die from it and fatal means you can die from it. Fatal=dead deadly=could of died but survived
