"useless" rating

As there is a "useful" rating, I think there should be a "useless" rating, neutral as well.

For those subtly post farming with 1-2 worded posts that are not contributing in any way to the thread, yet aren't moderated by the mods because still on topic. Or to genuinely rate a Suggestion, of course.

On an overnight though, I start to see how this could be felt offensive to some People. After reading some texts, I guess that "not necessary" or "unnecessary" expresses better the thought without the potential of being taken personally.

However I guess everyone has understood the base idea and I leave it to the admins if and how this should be implemented.

 

Neutral. You can always report post-farming or just ignore it.

Serious, though, it's a passive-aggressive rating that has no business being added.

Sean While I see the problem with "dumb" rating, I wasn't aware "useless" was felt offensive. At least, that's not the way I meant it. Krissy , dislike is rated negative. I wanted it neutral, just as I meant it, and just like "useful". Not offensive at all, you see? The other neutral "negative" rating, hence "disagree", does not fit at all when you want to say "useless". Because you might agree, yet felt it was a total waste of time to read through it. That is the meaning of "useless" as I meant it.

 

We don't want everyone feeling useless, no support

 

"We"? "Everyone"? Who else is in your head ?

Ratings are directed towards the post, not the poster (although some raters might mean it this way, but that is not how it is intended).

Tbh dislikes should be neutral now that I think about it. It's basically negatively rating someone's opinion. I, with lots of dislikes probably sound biased, but it's the truth
