Suggestions from a new player.

So today was my first day on, and I must say the server will go in a good direction. However, there are a lot of improvements the server can make. I have a list here.

The first thing is a PvP warp, because I am an avid PvP player and have been doing PvP for about a year. However, there are a large amount of god items. So, I may as well state now that god items should be disabled in PvP. Plus, since you can actually get iron swords, why even use a redstone block with sharpness 5 when you could use an iron sword?

Another thing I'd like to see is a mining warp. Now, you may be thinking, Blue, this would defeat the whole purpose of skyblock if you had mines. Well, in my eyes you should only be able to get stone from your island, which means this mine will have a composition of:
70% Coal Ore
20% Iron Ore
4.5% Coal Blocks
4.5% Gold Ore
1% Diamond Ore

The last thing I would like to see are more perms for non-donors. I cannot /warps, and I cannot /helpop. These two are really crucial, and it's hard to just ask for all the warps. Also, a /warp god so we can convert our grass into god items. Or, at least, that's what I've heard happens. If not, I'd like someone to clarify in a reply.

First one with pvp, no support. Go to a pvp server for pvp.

Second one with mining. No, just no. Coal can be replaced by charcoal which isn't really that needed. Iron can be bought by with around 2 iron ingots per grass so that can be easily bought. Gold and Diamond are supposed to be rare and not easy to get. If there was a /warp mine or something it would ruin many aspects of .net and .org (guessing you are meaning .net).

Finally, if you need help from a mod, just ask in chat or do /list and see if their is a mod online to pm. And /warp god, just ask a donor100 or skygod to god something for you for grass or maybe for free (look out for my name because I do it for free). I didn't know that non-donors can't /warp. That one would be nice.

You would use a god item over an Iron sword for a few reasons.
1. Iron swords have a durability, (God items don't) and will eventually break if not repaired
2. Iron swords are more expensive, (1-2 Grass) when god items are almost worthless (Items can be godded with a command; Donor100+)
3. Iron swords are less practical, since god items have more enchantments that can knock back, or set fire to an enemy.

I completely agree with cheesycarson. Skyblock is about survival and collecting resources etc. If you want a pvp, go to another server.
Most items that can be found by mining can be found either in the shop or from other players so there is no need for that.
As for the extra perms for non donors, that is the whole point for people to buy donor so giving non donators these perms would defeat the purpose of donating.

First off, props for making a forums account when you just joined the server. (barely anyone does that)
The whole purpose of sky block is to survive for yourself with limited resources, not like regular survival. My advice is to stay with the server, get to know how it works, and just get familiar. And if you want to make these things easier, simply donate.

 

I will have to say no support for everything other than adding /warps for non donors. My reasons have been stated above ^^

Js you pretty much just defined a p2w server. Imo the server should make it easier for non-donors to actually get stuff. Aside from voting trading or grinding there isn't really any other way. And trading is a bit of a mess anyways.

First of all, before suggesting PvP, think about the name "Skyblock". Adding ores would be too OP in skyblock. You also need to think about the commands donors have. Both greenies and donors need the real experience of skyblock. /warp god? Just ask someone else to god items for you, that'll be much easier than creating a whole other warp. You're basically telling us to add PvP and prison. Just go to a PvP/Prison server, instead of asking it on a skyblock server. Although I know it's a suggestion, I don't think its a good idea. No support.

Though I support on adding /warps for greenies.

 

I'll support the /warp.

It is tiring trying to find and try all the warps.
These are a few of the warps that I know greenies can access.

/warp animal
/warp parkour
/spawn
/warp noobspawn
/warp info
/warp skybase
/warp mob

There are still quite a few, though I can't remember, sine those were used for special occasions, and I haven't been on for quite a while.

The thing is though it is easy enough for non donors to get things. I actually think it is maybe a little too easy. I am a non donor on .net myself and I have had no trouble getting things I have needed.
I agree though that trading is a bit of a mess. This is why I use .org more often.

 

Trading is sort of a mess due to scams, but you can always just set up a tradeshop.

 

/warps was for everybody, i dont know when they changed this.

The mine idea isnt the best. Diamonds are supposed to be very rare, if you! And its called SKYblock for a reason, adding a place to mine would make it something else.
Although a /kit wood would be nice to give you like 32 oak wood planks (my idea)

/skywars. Different server but owned by the same people. Just a competitive PVP game in the sky. You can also just go play on other PVP servers out there.

I support the /warp for non-donors. Honestly, converting grass into god items is just wasting currency. God items are completely useless other than killing mobs faster :I. Just ask Donor100s or higher (Skygods).

 

It's kinda dumb how everyone is responding with the absolute same thing, even though it's already been said. I think BlueJewelGaming gets the idea. We don't have to keep reminding him about the same things.

 

I mean I like them. Pvp just won't happen cause the server is too laggy.
Mining warp probably won't happen since pretty much all iron/diamonds come from donor kits and people would complain incessantly that donor ranks aren't worth anything then. I would like it so non-donors can get stuff without committing a week of their time to grinding stuff, but nope. The commands your asking for are extremely basic; idk why people are so stubborn to give non donors anything when this was probably a mistake that they don't even have it to begin with. Probably since the majority of people on the forums are donors. Anyways you're supposed to have /warps I assume. /helpop is a different story. They use it as a staff chat channel. Idk why they never switched over to staff chat, and just use /helpop to report people. Just message a mod instead of /helpop. It's not as efficient, but it's what the server has.
I don't know why no one else has explained this clearly to you above. I'm sure you know half of this already, but god items are just items with every vanilla enchant. The command /enchant all is given to 100donors (blue tag) and it's referred to as "Godding." Basically it's just a donor permission. Unless they are greedy they'll probably do it for free. Hope that clears stuff up.
