Hello Mr. MindSensation, this is Quietus, appealing on behalf of our good friend Stel who is currently forum banned.

Server name (.net / .org ):
    This is a forum ban.

    In-game name:
I am appealing on behalf of Stel

    Full exact Ban Message:
    N/A

    Did you read the rules?

We have both read the rules.

Why do YOU think you were banned?
Stel was banned due to "SWAT threats."

    Was this an incorrect ban?
If we're looking at technicalities, yes.

Were you ever banned before on SkyBlock?
If so, what for? We have both been banned on Skyblock prior to this, but those offences are unrelated.

Why do you think you should be unbanned?
For the sake of this demonstration, I will assume that the staff involved in dealing with this do not know how a SWAT works.

Typically, a SWAT attack happens when someone creates a false police report, severe enough to warrant a visit by the SWAT team instead of the regular patrolling officers.

For example, Person A is executing a SWAT on Person B.

Person A contacts the police local to Person B, usually through untraceable and unidentifiable means (some police stations offer texting methods of reporting) saying something along the lines of "I am armed and I have murdered (person). I am at (Person B's location)." The police will find this severe enough to contact the SWAT team, which will then shortly arrive at Person B's house.

To execute a SWAT, Person A must firstly know Person B's address and extensive details of their life and living habits (example: a SWAT would be useless if Person B was not at home when Person A called the SWAT team).

In Stel's case, the only information she knew was Agent's IP, which gives a rough estimate of her location (city, usually), but nothing more. That is not enough to SWAT or even to threaten to SWAT someone. In the threat itself, it first said "You're going to get swatted," and then saying "you're going to get hit offline."

SWATting and DDOSing are two different things, and Stel did neither. Furthermore, judging on how frivolous these threats were, it is safe to say Stel never planned to actually do either of these things (which is the entire essence of a threat). Stel said something stupid and the staff did not take it the way she expected them to, which is understandable. I hope this application is not automatically denied like the other ones, and I will personally make sure that Stel does not do anything like this in the future.

    -Sincerely Quietus and Stel.

The staff did not take them the way she expected to? Stel literally wrote in her appeal previously that she took full responsibility for her actions and apologized.

I understand what a SWAT threat is, and I also understand that Stel does as well. Her message was intended to instill fear into another moderator, and it did. She knows that, I know that, you know that. Stop writing her appeals for her, she's not getting out of it.
