Skyblock's 12th Anniversary! Bedrock and Environments!

Today marks the 12th Anniversary of Skyblock!



It's been twelve incredible years of Skyblock and I truly appreciate everyone that has enjoyed the simple and random map I created so long ago. I honestly had no idea of it's potential success and thought it may have been disliked for being too odd or difficult. As with myself and so many members of the older generations of the Minecraft community, Skyblock has grown with everyone here and remains a canvas where players young and old can express their creativity.

Like the original Skyblock map, our multiplayer servers have also evolved over the years and we have some exciting updates to release for Skyblock's special day!

Bedrock - Introducing Bedrock support!

You can connect with the IP: "bedrock.skyblock.net".

You can now play on Nintendo Switch, Playstation, Mobile/Tablet (iOS/Android), PC (Windows Edition), and Xbox One! We are supporting Geyser for this capability and we are excited to continue building on this. Some menus and functions may be different compared to Java (which will always be the best), but overall everything from island creation, inviting friends, changing island settings and so forth works perfect, do let us know if you encounter any issues however!

Note: When logging on to Minecraft via Bedrock, your username may be different compared to Java. In order to keep the same island you currently have on Java, we highly recommend linking your profile via this method below.

1. Login to Bedrock and Java at the same time.
2. Your Bedrock user will have a period before your username like: ".Noobcrew"
3. While on Java, type "/linkaccount <bedrock_username>", such as: "/linkaccount .Noobcrew"
4. You will get a code like: "/linkaccount Noobcrew 1234"
5. While on Bedrock, type in the code given and your account is now linked. You only need to do this once and you can unlink at any time.

If you do not link your profile, your Bedrock user will start with a clean slate as a new user and you will not have the same island you have on Java.

Environments - Now for the coolest feature of all! Environments!

Environments are a premium only (webstore) cosmetic feature that can change the color of your Skyblock island's sky, grass, water, and foliage! Along with this, each Environment is custom made and can include optional effects such as particles and ambient music.

Here is an example of one:



This one is called Blossom!
It is an all pink Environment with a light pink sky, pink water, pink grass, and heart particles!

This is completely changing the game and is something we have not seen other servers do yet! Environments can change the entire feel and aesthetics of your Skyblock island giving you the capability to create something truly magical! We will be releasing more over time and so far we have Blossom, Dream, White Void, Toxic Wasteland, Pastel, Space Gray, and Winter Wonderland. Note: There is an accessibility issue however with Environments on Bedrock as Minecraft is slightly different here. Environments only work on Java though this can potentially change in the future depending on Minecraft/Mojang. Your island will appear as normal with an activated environment on Bedrock platforms.

Gifts - You can also craft the annual Grass Block anniversary recipe, receive the Anniversary Block and Firework within /gifts, and claim your custom trail from the NPC at spawn!

You can only claim your gifts on one server, so you do have to pick either Skyblock Survival or Skyblock Economy.
