I'm Sarge.
I've been playing for quite a long time now on this server and with every build and every new person I meet, it becomes more interesting.

Nota bene:
My name is Louie as would suggest my old IGN. I'm a french-american living in California.

I mainly used screenshots and Gyazo in the past.

Why do you think you should become a mod?
When I first joined this server, I had only one thing in mind: "Mind my own business and make the coolest island ever with my friend". Over the past few years, notably really in the first couple months of me playing, I acquired a thirst to play more and more and more and learned that SkyBlock.net isn't just about the island building part, a lot of the fun was from interacting with members of its community. Nevertheless, I started to interact with players gain friends, lose some... Then in 2015 my computer broke and I wasn't able to get it fixed or get a new one until recently, all that put aside, let's get into why I think I should become a mod:

Patience: I believe that being a moderator requires an enormous amount of patience. Anything involving other people usually involves patience;

Productive/Efficient: I'm a hard worker. I can be active for long hours helping people out in a friendly manner which brings me to my next pb

Tactful: I know what it's like to get griefed scammed, killed by lava etc on this server and know how bad it can feel when someone is able to take advantage of you. I believe I have the tact necessary in dealing with people who've recently had wrong done to them by a malicious player;

Humorous: It is important to also be happy, enjoy being on the server (which will result in the mod being on the server more). It is equally important to interact with the community, be active in chat and understand jokes;

Open-minded: I am willing to look from different perspectives at things to solve them. I would not ban unless 100% sure. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty;

Logical: I have a acquired over the years the power of deduction. I can deduct facts from different statements from different players with ease;

Helpfulness: An predisposed key that must be achieved before ever becoming a mod. The purpose of a mod on a server is to restore order in chat, speak in the name of the ban hammer and be willing to stop whatever it is you are doing to help someone that needs you;

Social: It's really important to be social. As a mod I would interact with a lot people;

Respectful: I try to be as respectful to everyone as possible . I respect anyone's decision as long as it doesn't interfere with the rules of the server or doesn't purposefully interfere with someone else's island.
My Number 1 personal rule and favorite rule is respect. You can't grief someone's island without breaking this rule, you can't scam someone without breaking it. You can't do anything harmful without breaking it.

Now respect has many "sous-entendus" or hidden meanings and subtleties. Although respect should be a two way street, as a mod, you just have to sometimes deal with it and keep your head clear;

Compassionate: I truly love this server and always enjoy my time on here (if not I wouldn't be applying). I love just hanging out, talking to people I haven't seen in a while or just hanging out with just about anyone I meet. I hope that when I show these new players how to do somethings that my love for this server will be transmitted to them;

Active: I am on a lot, I'm starting to be more and more active like I used to be now that AP Exams are over;

Mature: Over the last two summers, I have matured quite a bit. Working a job at an payed internship and gaining a little salary was something I had never experienced before and it changed the way I looked at things. I'm going to be totally honest, I was very immature when I first joined 3 years ago.
My recent experience as mod has taught me to respect my elders and only use the power and perms invested into me for the greater good of the everyday Skyblocker;

Quick Learner: I can learn things quite easily and I have a pretty good memory.

How long can you be active on the server everyday?
I tend to be on when there are no other mods during the AUS timezone. I play at night and used to moderate at night and cover hours no one else would cover due to timezone problems. I feel that that's still the case. My typical hours are:
8:30 PM - 12 PM: Monday - Friday
Pretty much all day depending on the weekend but mainly around the 2-3 hours before and after the staff meetings.

How long have you been playing Skyblock?
I've been playing Skyblock for almost 4 years. I started in late 2013 but only joined forums in April 2014.

Have you ever been banned in the past? (In-game)
I've been banned in the past (3 times!): Griefing my own coop (?), going to the mod vault (which at the time was apparently against the rules) and griefing a good friend of mine by the name of Jennie.

Ever since my last ban, sometime along 2014, I've been completely clean. Not one kick, mute or ban.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
As many of you may know, I was a moderator on Skyblock somewhat recently. I am very familiar with the entire staff team, the commands, the moderator forums and staffchats not to forget Litebans and Log block, a mod's best friend.

Now for the interesting part...
Why did I resign?

The day I resigned was a day full of tension and stress. Upcoming AP Exams ruined most of my spring break and left me with little sleep. As I said in my profile: "I had a lot of mixed feelings with Zeph resigning. Stress from upcoming AP Exams expedited my decision when I should have thought over it more. The second I saw Zeph's black name, I left both staff chats and before you knew it, my rank was gone".

I respect that. I tried to wait about a month since my resignation. If my math is right, it won't be until mid summer that the next promotion wave happens so I'll hopefully ripen?

I mean, I don't know. You have to fully be dedicated to the team. You can't just leave then re-apply in 1-2 weeks, you have to wait time.
