Intro:

Hey guys! I took the advice from the last one and put it into here! Hope you enjoy and leave support and feedback ! Little bit about me... I am 13 years old. I have been playing on this server for 3 years. I currently joined the forums but have been on them for at least 1-2 hours a day. I would love to be a mod because I love helping people. I have a lot of responsibilities as a teenager. Although I have a lot going on, I will always have time to be on the forums and on the server!

Yes, It was for island farming which I paid a girl to help me do. I got banned for 2 days and I learned my lesson, it will NEVER happen again. Otherwise I have a clean record!

Why do you think you should be a mod?​

I think I should be a Mod because I love helping people that are in need of assistance. Such as, new people who need help getting started or have questions about the server and all of the awesome perks of this server such as drop parties, voting and other things that occur on the server. I would also help fix arguments and fights that have to deal with stealing, griefing and misunderstandings. My goal as a mod is to make sure everyone is enjoying the server and making the server enjoyable for others as well. Some Traits of me becoming a Moderator...

Hard-Working​

I am very hardworking. Not only on the server but everywhere. I am constantly on the forums giving feedback and support for applications, Helping with questions and making suggestions. On the server I am very hardworking helping people who need help with problems, questions or concerns on the server. I will keep working as hard as I am now so I can make the server enjoyable to everyone. If other Mods or Staff need my assistance to set something fun up for the players or deal with a bug or issue, I will work my hardest to accomplish what it is I am working on.

Trustworthy ​

I am very trusted to help and to give feedback. My feedback is helpful all the time and trustworthy to use in game or on the forums. My answers to questions are always correct and
helpful. When someone has a question I try my best to give them a answer that will help them the most. I will not abuse the powers I have been granted because that is not being Trustworthy. I also can be trusted to handle all situations because of my education for the game, My patience and my passion to help others.

Friendly​

While I am on the server I am always being as kind and friendly to everyone no matter how they have treated me. I don't hold grudges because if I did it could ruin my reputation and that's not worth it. If someone has a question or concern I will answer it as nicely as possible so they can enjoy their time on the server! If someone is being Rude or Disrespectful in chat, I will kindly ask them to stop. If a player is sad or mad at another player, I will help them get through it by solving the problem between the 2 players.

Active​

I am very active on the forums and on the server. When I am not on the server, I am constantly checking forums for updates, Suggestions, New applications and questions or concerns. I try to spend as much time on the forums as possible so I can help out people in need of assistance. When I am on the server, I spend a lot of my time scoping out chat to find people who need assistance or are confused about the way/rules of the server.

Loyal/Fair​

If I get the opportunity to become a mod, I will be loyal to the other players, mods, the forums and the server, just as I have been doing. Just because I am given the opportunity to "Control" The server, I will not let power get to my head. I will still be 100% fair and follow all rules the server and forums have in place. I will give the same respect to all players no matter there Rank, Knowledge or skill in the game. Even if a player has bad blood with me or is a "well-known" player I will treat them as fairly as I treat everyone else on the server to ensure they are enjoying their time.

Helpful​

I will help everyone on the server that is in need. My job as a moderator would be to make sure everyone is getting the help they need so they can continue playing on the server. I will help everyone in chat who needs help so no one feels left out. If someone has a question I will be 100% open and do anything in my power to help them. I will not only help the players, But also other staff members if the need my assistance.

Patient​

If someone on the server is really struggling and needs help, I will take my time to make sure they have and know what the need. I don't care if it takes 6 hours, I'm there to help and I will do anything I can to do so. I will tell them what they need to know and I don't mind repeating myself My job Is to help out people in need, And I will fill that need no matter the time it takes.

Mature​

Although, I love messing around and having fun. I am mature enough to tell when I need to get serious. I answer peoples questions as maturely and helpfully as I can. In chat, If someone is talking inappropriately, I will kindly ask them to stop. And if it continues, I will kick them from the server temporarily. Although I am 13, I am very mature and take this job as a Moderator very seriously.

Experienced​

Although, I have not been a Moderator I have Experience with the Server, Forums and Minecraft. I can help people with Crafting Recipes, Warps, Rules and Illegal item trade on the server. I can also help people find certain sections or threads on the forums that they are having trouble finding. I believe that I would make a great Mod because of my Knowledge for the Game, Server and Forums.

How long can you be active on the server every day?​

I am usually active on the server for about 3-4 hours daily. This timing will be around 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Depending on sports and school. Weekends will most likely be in the early mornings and late nights, Starting at around 8:00 and can be as late as Midnight. (MST)
Right now I spend almost all my time scoping out chat and looking for people who have questions or concerns about the server or what is going on with the server. If I became a moderator, I would increase my hours on the server to insure that I am helping as much as I can. On weekends I will either be on longer then normal or less then normal because of stressful Junior High and sports. Weekdays will be at night time in MST. But usually I get to play with all of the time zones because my times I am on vary everyday.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?​

No, But I think I would still be a great moderator because I am a leader in life. I have been captain on my baseball team, hockey team and basketball team for most of my life. I believe that a good leader would make a great moderator because being a moderator is like being a leader! As a moderator I will help the server with anything it throws at me. Because that's what a good leader does.

Hit that emergency brake, Tokyo Drift. You have two applications...? If the other thread has lots of support and comments why not keep that one? Giving up a nicely aged thread with posts and comments is odd. Additionally: "it into is one"?

That is not an explanation for having two applications. I may be wrong but more threads does not equal "better chances". But high view counts and commentary probably influences a decision in your favor. Why not just bump the old thread?

I envy your free time, Retna. Eight hours a day just browsing forums, that's a life I want to live someday.

Nice to meet you, ma'am. For some reason I keep reading your name as "retina salty", which is a clever way of saying you're crying. Probably not intentional.

Nosedived harder than a woodpecker with a sinus infection. That is not a time zone. You may have meant Mountain Standard Time (MST) with something like (UTC-6) for the people not native to 'Murica. Which is the rest of the world, ma'am.

You paid someone to island farm for you? That's actually quite impressive. You've successfully demonstrated middle management and leadership ability by convincing others to break rules for profit. You're not very good at it-- that takes experience and practice-- but it's interesting nonetheless.

Something tells me this part will be a lot more fun to read after a couple doses of NyQuil. Back in a bit.

This is very nice, Horatio. Slight problem: None of these things require you to have a [Mod] in front of your name.

You can answer questions just fine without having any sort of special status or position. Can you rewrite the above to explain why being able to ban people would let you answer questions better?

That last part is well written, +1. You don't need to re-write, but it wouldn't hurt to make this a little more readable.

I have a better memory than a goldfish. Scroll up about twenty lines and check out the part about "I currently joined the forums but have been on them for at least 8 hours a day".

As of the time of this posting you have thirty messages, total. You're averaging about one post every five days, most of them in the last two weeks. Of those posts 10% of them are in your own application, 75% are in other's Moderator apps and one is a request for a ban removal.

"Hardworking" is a nice quality to have. Please rewrite this section to highlight an area in which you truly are putting higher-than-average effort into.

I am squinting at this post harder than Jason Statham at a movie premier. Please find synonyms for "working", "hard", "hard working" and any combination thereof.

If you would like to highlight the effort you put into the server why not list some of the things you've accomplished? Do you have real, tangible changes to demonstrate? For example have you built an amazing island, convinced a friend to donate or created some YouTube interviews of players?

Do not list a quality and then disqualify yourself at the same time. "I am 99% trustworthy" is a statement that makes me stare with the quiet horror of a man finding blood on his toilet paper. You are trustworthy or you are not. There is no 1% on this topic, Mitt Romney.

What did I just say? Answers that are "mostly correct" are worth less than a hungry cannibal's promise to watch while you sleep.

Rewrite this entire trait so your readers don't think you barely know what you're doing and might be lying 1% of the time.

No, that isn't how trust works. Being online a lot does not mean you can handle all situations: Adbots are online way more often than you are. Likewise how friendly and passionate you are do not give you credibility (usually).

I do have to give you a +1 for the phrase "and also my education for the game". That was a perfect little gem of irony and I quite liked it. Please rewrite or remove this section.

I have a worse headache than a lobotomy dummy. Some issues here:

• Joined server 3 years ago... but only 3 months on the forums. "Very active on forums/server" is a perplexing statement.
• "While the other time I am on the server I spent time inproving" - pardon?
• Drop parties, auctions and skin competitions benefit YOU, how are these qualities that would make you a better MODERATOR?

Take this part out until you can put some more thought into it. Half of this section sounds untrue, the other half doesn't qualify you to manage a drive-thru window. Or just ignore me, I'm sick and barely functional right now.

Why can't you be loyal NOW? Does the loyalty part only come after you're given things? That sounds more like you were paid for, Ms. Salty.

Please provide some examples of how you would make the server more fun as a Moderator.

Move this to the "Do you have experience?" question. This is a wonderful example of how to highlight your skills in something else (leadership) and apply it to what you currently want (Moderator). +1

THIS IS HOBOSPEECH. Remove this entire answer and rewrite it. You are repeating information from above, rambling on unrelated topics and worst of all you did not provide a helpful answer. Three to four hours per day is fine, but when? Are you volunteering for the midnight to 4am shift...? Your schedule is so erratic you cannot commit to anything at all: That sounds less than reliable.

I'm also calling a little B.S. on your proposed playtime. You're offering to work a maximum of forty six hours a week in-game and also seventy hours of forum Moderating at the same time?? With no down days or rest at all? That's incredible. +1 if you can pull this off.

For the love of little baby bunnies: Please remove any reference to how much you love spending time at drop parties, auctions and trading. These are things that benefit only you and it is weird to see them in a job application that is basically "Help Everyone Else".

Not necessary to cut/paste console commands. Additionally: Move your "Leadership" qualification down here. While you might not have ever been an administrator on Minecraft you do have excellent qualifications offline. You lead groups of people at sports and manage others at school. That is qualified "experience".

You repeat yourself more than a NASCAR driver with memory problems. Remove this section, a lot of this has been said two-, three- or four times already.

Already, I can see that your application is unaesthetically pleasing with all the faded mix of ugly colours you've used thinking it was a "good idea". I would also suggest getting rid of the italics, because it just hurts my eyes. Get rid of the many smilys you've dotted around everywhere, they're immature. Lastly, all the links just lead to the home page, so I don't really know what's going on there. Okay to the content of this application...

Edit- Definatly be more active on forums, you only joined like 2 weeks ago and I don't think that's enough. If you're on for 8 hours a day, why don't you have any posts. And if you're just looking, that's an awful waste of time
