Hey all, Jimmeh here Ok this is a small thing but it would be handy. It's about the /realname command, And i think that that could be imrpved (if there is a way to). I think that /realname should give the uppertunity to give the realname of offline players. So it would be like: I talked to someone and his nickname was/is "Pedro", but he went offline and now I don't know what his /realname is, and I can't check it anymore. But I do wan't to know when he was offline or online by typing /seen <playername>. This can only be done with the realname and not with someones nickname, When you could check offline players /realname that problem will be removed. It's a small thing, but it's something ~Jimmeh
This would be helpful, but I'm not sure how well it would work, or if it would work at all. The server would have to recognize every nickname on the server. Other than that, support!
Since /seen is from essentials plugin I doubt the ability to see offline /nick players would be possible. So while useful, much like seeing players offline inventories and enderchests, I cannot see this happening at all.
Adding a feature allowing to check the real name of a player who uses a nickname whilst that player is offline would mean that another string which analyses data and saves needed data needs to be added to the already massive UUID files, stating which was the last used nickname, which should be possible to do, though isn't very necessary. If you want to suggest this to KHobbits (lead developer of the essentials plugins), feel free to do so. It's worth a try, though I doubt you will receive feedback. Simply using /realname [player] whilst the particular conversational partner is online, would be another option.
Good idea, but for instance, someone with a common nickname like "Dark" or something, and he/she wasn't online at the time, this plugin would have to analyse every single person with the name "Dark" in their name But like I said, nice idea
