[Re-application] Artie

Hello again, I'm Thomas.

Right, so I'm sure a few of you are confused now. I left, and said my farewells, and here's an application in my name on the forums. A lot of things happened before I left, and a lot of people were hurt in the process, and because of that I thought I'd never come back, lest the problems would follow. But fortunately, when I came back not very long ago, just to say a final goodbye, I received a much warmer welcome than I had expected. Many of those who originally had an issue with me - for whatever reason they saw fit - have since left the community, or taken the time to talk to me and sort our disagreements out.

A lot of my old friends on the staff and among the wonderful community that is Skyblock, urged me to reapply if I still felt passionate about the server, and truth be told, I've missed it a lot while I was gone. But it was necessary for me to stay away for a while, because the problems my presence caused at the time hurt others on the staff, and I'm not willing to hurt someone else if I can avoid it.

I deeply apologise to the people who were hurt by the rumours and stories that was made up against me and the rest of the staff. I'm glad the perpetrators admitted to having spread them, and I hope those of you who still feel upset with me will take a chance at talking to me before making a judgment.

So, without further ado, here's my application two point oh.

Your in-game name: Artificiality. I typically go by Artie.

Which timezone are you in? I'm in GMT+1, residing in Denmark for the time being.

Which languages do you speak? Danish and English are my two native languages. Being fluent in Danish has also allowed me to communicate to some extend with people living in the rest of Scandinavia, as our languages are quite similar. Additionally I am conversational in German and Italian.

Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) I've never been banned, nor do I intend to ever be.

Why do you think you should be a mod? This question is as difficult to answer now as it was the first time around. I certainly have the experience with the community now, and I've become very accustomed to the wonderful people of Skyblock and their issues. The server clearly needs moderators covering all hours now as much as it did before, and my timezone gives me the perfect opportunity to fill some of that window. I loved what I did here on Skyblock, and - inactivity aside - had no intentions of leaving when I did, had it not been for the unfortunate events at the time. I do my job to the best extent that I'm able to because I love participating in, and helping out the community. I've seen Skyblock when it's moderator-less as much as the next man, and my familiarity with the peak hours and the procedures that staff uses here makes me convinced that I am still a good candidate to offer my help.

How long can you be active on the server every day? This has changed since the last time, as I moved back to Denmark and picked up new employment. My activity has gone up a lot, and I'll be able to dedicate at least 3-4 hours during the late European hours on weekdays. When it comes to weekends, it'll depend a lot on my schedule, as I'm becoming a busy old man, but I've every reason to believe that activity will not be an issue. Finding at least a few hours every day is certainly possible for me now more than ever.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Well, except for the previous administration and moderation experienced I mentioned in my last application, I've got some much more valuable experience now. That is; I have experience with the very community here, the very staff team here. I worked as a moderator during peak hours, often times being the only moderator online with some 400 players on the server, and those days taught me every single nook and cranny of Skyblock moderating. I was working under pressure, constantly working 2-3 different issues at a time, and I loved every single second. And should the opportunity come back around, I am sure I will again.

I wish to share a story about my little (big) friend Thomas here, just to let you all know about his dedication:

Activity:

• I never come on a single day without seeing "[Mod] Artie" in-game working countless hours helping players that needed it.
• Artie (or Thomas), has been in the community for coming up on a year, and he's been one of the most helpful people I've ever met throughout my Skyblock experience.
• I've tried having conversation with him in-game, but he'd just be honest tell me he can't talk right now because he's having such a fun time moderating.

Dedication:

• Artie, being one of the most well-known members in the community, is not a person to judge. He's one of the most knowing people I've ever met, as in he understands situations and what it takes to do what needs to be done.
• In the 10 or so months that I've known Thomas, he's shown more support to the server than some of his real-life situations, not being the most active at times (mentioned above), but still being one to, while we're chatting on facebook, ask how the server is going.
• If you've gotten this far, you deserve a medal, well so does Artie. One of the most dedicated players I'll ever know. (besides myself )

Attitude/Friendly:

• Artie is never one to turn someone down when they are in-need. I don't mean this just server-wide, Artie has helped me with numerous of real-life problems and I honestly cannot say I would be where I am today emotionally without him.
• If he cannot do something, it just makes him more challenged to accomplish one more thing, learn that little extra, which I feel I want to be a moderator on this wonderful server because he will never let anyone down.

If you're this far, you will know how I feel about one of my all-time favorite moderators, Thomas.
