[Pyonas] [Unban JAN 13, GMT] Crakrjack ban appeal

6. Why do you think you should be unbanned? I'm guessing that my island was looked at and it may have appeared that there are 4 bridges coming off my island, however these are only there to map out the allowable build area of my island, each bridge should be 50 blocks from my bedrock. They are not bridges but they serve to map out the allowable area on which i can build. I will admit that I /jump'ed to one island but did not grief or loot and was only going there out of curiosity. As for item spawning , I am not sure what this is, i could not find anything in the forums relating to this (a search facility might be handy for this)

 

I realise the ban appeal process can take some time and I'll wait for your reply, but in the meantime could someone please explain what item spawning is. As i stated above, i cannot find mention of it in the rules or anywhere in the forum. Thanks.

That's correct, there was one island I /jumped to from my island but only out of curiosity, I didn't grief or loot. There is nothing to be gained from griefing, is just a @#$% of a thing to do and I've incurred enough of it on other servers to want to string up anyone that does it, and I have no need to loot. I'm a donor so I get iron, which is what i consider the most valuable item in the game, from donor kits and the mob spawner. I vote, most days on the 9 sites that i know of in order to get grass blocks and i have a decent stock of those now. I get all i need from my island and have no need to steal from others.

 

I can't upload any screens right now as I'm at college. But if memory recalls you had a whole double chest full of lava buckets, chests with stacks of dirt.... I banned you to be on the safe side. 3 mods made attempts at contacting you while you were online to ask you questions about said items to no avail. We teleport you and Ze_Nomad to the top of your island and both of you seemed to be AFK even though you were still mining (Auto-mine?)
Please explain?

 

Sorry, i rarely look at the chat unless I'm looking for info or to trade and i must have been afk at that time.
As for the lava and dirt, my /coop friend Ze_Nomad has posted in the appeal section regarding that.

 

He has not posted anything about the dirt or lava as of yet.

2. The amount of lava buckets, ice and dirt is amoung the highest I've seen in a double chest, yet.
3. (Off-Topic)I get the feeling that Ze_Nomad did avoid us intentionally, since he logged off when confronted.

 

Please explain this;

 

Firstly, I don't know why I would not be eligible for appeal, I believe I have this right. The accusations against me were:
1. Bridging, The extent of which was to /jump to a neighboring island where I remained for less than 15 seconds
2. Item spawning, which despite my asking no one seems to be able to tell me what this is.

Ze_Nomad has explained the lava and dirt in his amnesty thread, I've asked him a number of times to get rid of it and he told me that he was going to but hadn't gotten around to it. I believe he wanted to come clean before doing so to reduce the chance of a ban.

The fact there is so much lava is because he never traded it, which would constitute the breaking of rule 5.
He never did anything with it so I don't know why he didn't toss it.

I'm not happy that these items were found in our shared chest, but I assure you they didn't belong to me.

I ask that you please consider my appeal further, I am not a bad guy, I play by the rules and will now ensure that all that I /coop with do also, kicking anyone who doesn't. Ze_Nomad is a close personal friend of mine so I guess I wasn't as hard on him as i should have been.
I have been helpful to others and always traded fairly. I've never scammed, griefed, stolen, sworn or been disrespectful.
My only crime was to not insist my friend act sooner in righting his wrongs.
In Ze_Nomad's defence, he's much like me in that he is a nice guy who just did something stupid when he first started on this server and didn't deal with it after reading the rules. Despite this, I'm going to punch him so hard in the shoulder if I cant get this ban overturned.

p.s. Ze_Nomad wants to know if he is permitted to add to this thread.

With not being able to contact you when you were online to sort this out it left me no choice but to ban you both.
I will unban you as I feel that the majority of this ban does no longer apply to you, but to Ze_Nomad as it was his doing. (He explained in amnesty and his appeal)
I will unban you 13/01/13. This ban will then have been a week long.
I will take 20x lava buckets, 78x Ice and 700x dirt.
In future if you see anyone in game has too much dirt, lava, ice etc. do the responsible thing and report it. It will then be dealt with and saves unnecessary bans and people similar to your situation being caught in the middle.

 

Thanks for that Pyonas. Rest assured such things will not happen on my island again and I'm happy to help stamp it out across the server if i see it.
If it means anything I'm quite confident Ze_nomad wont be re offending. If he comes back to the game, he will remain coop'ed with me and I will be keeping on eye on him. Either way, he can face his own fate.
