Closed Nerf Skychat

Good Evening,

This may not be a particularly popular suggestion, but I want to throw it out there.

In my opinion the payout given my Skychat should be reduced significantly.

I don't know the actual data, but I would hazard a guess that the majority of /baltop have acquired a good portion of there balance through winning skychats.

It seems strange that the most effective way to get 'rich' in game is to sit staring at chat and not actually playing or making use of a traditional minecraft mechanic (mob farms etc).

Feel free to shoot me down or to add some of your own thoughts- I'm genuinely intrigued to see peoples views on this.

Maybe limit skychat reward to $200?

 

Support just look at arceuz who got 100 k in a day, I think we need something else to replace skychat with or something else like really big nerf since it’s always same persons that wins

 

No support, though me being a fast typist and winning often too, my issue is that it's just a minigame. You dont *need* it to play. There are always ways to improve typing speed as well.

 

You are 100% right...it is just a minigame. Its pretty weird that a minigame is the best way to 'win' the game?

I know me, Frxn, and Bert have been abusing skychat since org came out, I'm pretty sure 1000$ is too op for skychat,

make $200-$500 or a grass block.

There are 3 people that got $100k fairly now.

 

The people who are winning aren’t fast typers, they are just timing it. It shouldn’t be every 5 mins, it should be random. And I’d say like $200 a pop

 

Neutral Bert and Fran get there money more legitimately I’m in a coop with them they farm a lot and sell stuff to get there money

I think it should be from anywhere 4 mins to 10 mins and the winnings from 200-750

 

Im also in that coop ... And I'm not saying all there money has come from sky chat... But i think even they would admit a large chunk has

 

Either a serious reduction in reward and/or a random delay between each scramble is definitely atm

 

support, it's only a minigame and shouldn't give such high rewards

 

Support, it’s an addition to help vary gameplay - it shouldn’t be the main source of funds when it is not the main focus of skyblock.

I’ve seen other suggestions that randomise the time of skychats as well, which would be a true test of reactions rather than solidly every 5 minutes.

Not the main "money source" but it helped me get rich along with selling other farming stuff
