4. Did you read the rules ? I did read the rules. I have no defense for this being an incorrect ban, as I was island farming.
   
5. Why do YOU think you were banned? I was banned for island farming, as the ban says.
   
6. Was this an incorrect ban? This was a completely correct ban, and I have no good defense.
   
7. Were you ever banned before on SkyBlock? If so, what for? I have recently been banned for an inappropriate name, but that was resolved, and I was banned a few years ago for I think a chat-related offense.
   
8. Why do you think you should be unbanned? I think I should be unbanned because I am an active member of skyblock. While saying that I will improve holds no meaning, I will try my best to clean up my record and improve from this point forwards. However, I was banned for breaking the rules.

Hey Moearnings, thank you for appealing.
As much as I appreciate you admitting to your mistake, you reset your island over 100 times to farm the sand. That shows how much you completely disregarded the rules, and if you hadn't been banned, I don't believe you would've cared to turn yourself in.
Can you please explain why you decided to do this, and also please read, rewrite, and explain all the rules in your own words.

I have no reasonable reason for doing this. I was building a sand island, and didn't care to buy the sand, a huge mistake.
Player Disrespect:
(My own words) This is a more common sense rule. Treating players fairly and with the same respect as all others is expected, regardless of the player.
Chat Related Offenses:
(My own words) Chat related offenses are related to player disrespect in that you should use common sense. Spamming and filter bypassing among others are all offenses.
/Nick Abuse
(My own words) Nick abusing is using someone else's nickname and pretending to be them or defame them. You need permission to use someone else's nickname.
Extreme Chat Related Offenses:
(My own words) Extreme chat offenses include, but are not limited to: discrimination of any kind, suicide encouragement, death threats, and so on. Again, use common sense and be decent.
Advertising and Inappropriate Links:
(My own words) Don't advertise other servers, unless they are also owned by the owners of skyblock. Don't post innappropriate links of any kind.
Posting Malicious Links:
Posting links that can harm other people is also not allowed.
DDoS or Account Hacking Threats:
Don't threaten to hack player's accounts or threaten to DDoS players. Be decent.
Releasing Private Information and Doxing:
Don't release the private information of anyone on skyblock. This is a severe offense.

Don't try to evade a ban or mute. Stick with any punishments received and/or appeal.
Scamming:
Don't scam other players. Be decent.
Griefing:
Don't take other player's stuff or change their island without their permission. Don't trust or coop a player unless you trust them.

Don't reset an island just to take the materials from it and reset it again. This abuses the server giving you stuff, and gives an unfair advantage to you. Don't.
Inappropriate Names and Skins:
Don't use inappropriate skins or usernames on skyblock.

Ah, I’m so sorry, I had posted a reply but it never came through.
You were just banned for your alt’s name, did you read the rules when you were banned for that?

 

I have read all of the server rules. If you are referring to the inappropriate name, I had read the rules, and was not playing on it when it was banned. I still don't know why I was banned.
do you mean recently when you say just? because all of my alts were banned along with moearnings.

 

Let me add some clarity to the situation. I was given an alt with a randomized name by my friend. That name happened to be inappropriate, and I joined the server, and promptly left to try to get the name changed. I am unable, however, to change the name, and my friend won't let me. I still realize that I broke the rules there, and that what I said is not a reasonable excuse. I am just providing reasons why the account is still named what it is named. I haven't played on that account since before it was banned, and will continue to stay off. As there is no possible way I could get the name changed, I am and still will be happy with the account remaining banned.

 

As long as that alt is banned, it's fine. What I wanted to know, was whether or not you read the rules.
Since you knew what they were, and you knew you were breaking a major rule, did you consider what would happen if you were caught island farming?

 

Not really. I sort of tipped off narwheenie because i felt a little guilty, but i didn't really consider what was going to happen.

I told him to tpa while I was island farming. I don't really know why I did it or what I was doing.

 

Edit: I told him to tpa while I was island farming. He teleported to me, looked around for a few seconds, and then left the island. I presumed that he told someone that I was island farming, and that was how I was caught. As I have said, I regret making this decision. I did not think about what would happen if/when I was caught, even though I knew I was going to get caught and probably banned.

As much as I understand you made a mistake by island farming, there was no real reason to do it, which doesn't leave you with a valid excuse. I'd like you to take this time to learn to abide by the rules.
Since you've been willing to answer all questions I've asked, and have been helpful with your answers, I have shortened your ban to 4 days - that's 3 days shorter if you weren't aware.

 

Is there any way my ban can be shortened further? I have already been banned for almost seven days, and have spent that time learning to abide by the rules.

 

Since I’ve checked your alts, I’ve learnt that you ban evaded on three accounts, less than a day ago. If you can’t explain this, your ban will be reset to what it was when you were first banned.

 

I have no way of explaining this. I have logged on to minecraft using a different account then I have used before, but I have not logged on to skyblock at all. The only way this is possible is if it tracks a user's IP address even when they are not on skyblock, and then check accounts from that ip playing on skyblock. I logged on to a different wifi where on of my friends was playing skyblock, but i don't think that would have triggered it. I guess ill take the ban

 

We'll just stick with the reduced ban time then. Please make sure to abide by all the rules in the future.
