Minecraft 1.8 Seed Spotlights

So I spawned a world in the latest 1.8 snapshot 14w26c and spawned on an island, and found an ocean monument diagonal from spawn. Before you ask "What is an ocean monument, and why is it called a monument?" It's a new structure coming out in 1.8. It's a monument because it's three times the size as a desert temple. It is made out of the new block and its variants, prismarine, prismarine bricks, dark prismarine, and sea lanterns. The best part about this is, when you walk straight in you find the treasure chamber. But you need to kill the three Elder Guardians in the monument in order to break into the chamber to find your treasure, and get the rare blocks. The chamber is covered in dark prismarine and sea lanterns in the corners.

3. Entrance, with a guardian on the bottom, which attacks squids and players
4. Treasure chamber
5. Entrance to the wing of monument, with an Elder Guardian flapping its tail at me (there's 2 on both wings you gotta find the other one)
6. The top chamber where the last Elder Guardian is, easier to kill it because it doesn't have much to roam in
Other information: One of the rooms has wet sponges, a new variant of the sponge, which has a new texture. If you smelt that wet sponge with a lava bucket, the sponge will dry and the water from the sponge will go into the bucket, and maybe you could use those sponges to clear out water to use the monument as a base or hotel or something. Keep in mind that there is any "bleeding" in the outside of the entrance, it'll flood back in. You also want Depth Strider III boots which make you walk faster underwater. And you'll want Water Breathing potions! And optional is night vision potions. Make sure you have a very sharp weapon and heavy armor too. (Diamond armor is recommended in hard difficulty)

I also forgot to mention that the monument is like a maze, so you might wanna bring worthless blocks to mark your way in the places you've been. Keep in mind that if you use something like diamond blocks, it'll be very hard to reclaim them

Ocean monuments are found in deep oceans, or any aquatic biome with a 29 block radius.

 

It is cool. In the first 1.8 snapshots 1.8 seemed pointless and dumb but now it's as big as when 1.7 came out!
