Island and Build Protection [Net]

Hi there,

I've currently got a massive build on the go and am wondering what would be required to have the area protected. The last thing I want to have happen is an island to pop into existence and destroying a lot of hard work by several people.

As it is, it seems that it will be on the order of 250x250 according to the schematics.

I've requested the action so that once complete, the build can be saved and given to the server.
Ideally as a gathering place or spawn location. Something to be said for being awed at such a complex build on a server designed to be near impossible (Skyblock)

You said you spent 200 grass (I hope I am not about to shock you). Disregarding any ramifications for building over your 49 block limit. Lets look at practicality. Do you know that to make a 250x250 square of dirt will be 62,500 grass blocks. Accounting for the average depth of what i see thats at least on average of 250x250x15 which mean youll need about 937,500 grass blocks to do the dirt and I estimate at least 100,000 blocks to complete the Castle. Lets do some math youll need about 20,000 diamonds of spending power to do this project. That means youll need to make over 50 diamonds a day for 1 full yeah to afford this. or lets say even a reason rate if you were a 250 Skygod 3 diamonds a day would take you almost 17 years to complete this. When I want to go build a house, most reasonably prudent people would not ask for land if they dont have the money to build a house. Your better off just becoming an Admin or Mod with creator mode. After seeing this pic Im just thinking reasonable...

 

That would be nice, but I'm not asking to become a mod or admin. Purely for the reasons that no one really knows me yet on the server and I don't want to go about asking for all those privileges without earning them in some way.
And yes, while there is a lot of dirt/grass in the image, my main concern at the moment is the castle construct itself.
The landscape can be done afterwards if so needed at that time by a mod or admin with the creative privileges. Or, it can be all done on a large 'flat' stone area.

This will take 2-3 months as is without help. I hope I can complete it before a island appears in it.

In regards to the stone itself, it will likely be on the order of 50,000. The Grass and Dirt are negotiable due to terrain.
Huge undertaking. But I never claimed it to be easy.
I will also likely be changing a lot of the Nether Brick over to Oak in order to do the Roof.

 

I hope you realize that if you make a 250x250 build, you need to destroy nearby islands, a bannable offense. You should only build 49 blocks out from bedrock, as you are only allowed that much space.

 

The islands in proximity to the build have all been abandoned and stripped of materials. And either by the creator of that island or island pirates.

All that remains is bedrock, a couple cobblestone platforms (with nothing on it and not connected to anything) and possibly a tree from the number of chunks I can see ahead of me.

I would never seek to destroy someone else's work as I wouldn't want someone to do that to me.

 

I made a couple typos. My mistake. But I would stick with building a finished 100x100 project. If it looks good and can be used for server needs, see about going from there. If your 100x100 becomes a warp and you get permission to continue then worry about it when the time comes. But bigger is not better. And the plugin is static meaning it can't be rewritten (for you) to make sure neighboring island don't reset ect. That's always a possibility.
