How to make your Godded Diamond normal again

Here is a quick guide to make your godded diamond turn into a normal diamond again if needed. I have had 2 godded diamonds and wanted to turn them back into normal diamonds.

First take your godded diamond and take 8 other diamonds


Put all 8 diamonds and the 1 godded one into a crafting table to craft a diamond block.


As you see it crafts an ordinary diamond block.


Take the diamond block and put it back into the crafting table.


Take the 9 diamonds out of the crafting table and they should be normal diamonds with no enchantments on.

Question, would it work with named godded items? As in would it remove the enchant on the item but keep the name? Or would it remove the enchants and remove the name.
