Mafro's: All the Best Mapart You Can Buy, In One Place!™ Hey all! Today I'm announcing the official opening of Mafro's Art Shop! For Art Collectors This shop will offer all the best mapart from all the best map artists in one place! It is opening with 138 pieces of art from 20 different map artists! Now that it is open, the shop will be expanding, eventually offering roughly 500 pieces of art from dozens of artists, all of which you will be able to buy! Mafro's Art Shop guarantees the lowest prices on the server, the same as if you purchase directly from the artist. As with all art on the server, reselling is prohibited without permission from the artist. For Map Artists If you're a map artist and want to sell more of your art, contact me! The way it works is that you simply hand me a copy of all the pieces of art you wish to sell in my shop, and I will make a copy of each piece for display. I cover all costs in empty maps, etc. to create this copy, as well as all costs related to the shop itself. You may also post a sign advertising your island so that collectors can visit you to find more of your great work! Once someone purchases your art, I notify you and pass along 75% of the sale price to you! You will then be able to restock your shop if you wish. If you choose not to restock, then the shop may be assigned to another piece of art or another map artist. I have developed a method for you to both restock and collect your 75% cut when I'm not online, so artists from all time zones are welcome! Despite not being officially open, Mafro's Art Shop has already sold over 30 pieces of art to passersby! Artists who have already sold art include: Emy, Emily, Quoken, Escapist, Grizz, Cuppy, BlockMarket, Hasj, ItzVxper, Madival, Jolol, Teeler, and SkyCloud (sorry if I forgot any...there's been a lot!). Art offered in Mafro's Art Shop must be offered at the same price as the lowest price for that piece on the server, e.g. the same price you sell it for. If you lower your direct price, or offer it cheaper elsewhere, you must notify Mafro so that the price at Mafro's Art Shop can reflect that new price. I don't sell any of my own map art, so your art won't compete with the shop owner's - come try it out! ~Mafro
This is amazing and quite a game changer for me. I think it will reduce stress on me in regards to sales and advertising. I think I should just give up my shop and pay you to make me my own massive room Okay but no this is such a fun concept! Just make sure shulker boxes are renamed correctly when restocking, if something doesn't work you may need to change the sale item to the new shulker.

Hey all, my mapart shop just had its 200th sale! Thanks to Queen_Cheesecake for hitting that mark - she's sweet as pie! To celebrate 200 sales in roughly 2 1/2 weeks, and because many of you have asked me about what is selling best, I thought I'd share a few statistics with the mapart community, so you can get an idea of which mapart is most popular, which earns the most, etc. First, to get a sense for any bias in my data, here are a few stats about my mapart shop. It has: 202 individual pieces by 32 different artists 706 panels, which means an average of 3.5 panels per piece The average price per panel is 11.3 grass, skewing lower for smaller pieces (e.g. 1x1s are around 8 grass each) and higher for larger pieces 106 of the 200 sales are for 1x1s...the other 94 are for larger sizes Total sales equal 7,180 grass, or a little over 2 DCs, for an average of 35.9 grass per sale The Top 5 artists with the most sales are as follows (visit their section to see what they sell): #1 Madival - 34 sales #2 lilCupcakeFreak - 20 sales #3 EmyDances8 - 19 sales #3 SkyCloud - 19 sales #5 evans_onlyangel - 12 sales #5 Quoken - 12 sales #5 DrGrizzlyBear - 12 sales #5 BlockMarket - 12 sales Note that in front of each mapart is a lectern with a book. That book contains a brief description or commentary on the art and, if that art has sold, the number of times it has sold and the date of the last sale. You can use this to see which individual pieces have sold most frequently and most recently.
