4.No I had only joined the server 3 days ago and hasn’t realised the forum contained the list of rules
5.No, I had been island farming
    6.I haven’t
7.This is the only server my friends have been playing on and have no other servers or games to play with them during lockdown and I hadn’t realised I was breaking rules and wouldn’t have done it if I knew it was
8.I have read through and will follow all the rules and not do anymore island farming; I’ve already properly started my island 2 days before I was banned so I wouldn’t be restarting it anyway

10.Yes I’ve now read through the rules and understand it isn’t allowed and won’t do it again

Okay, so let's get down to business.

The friends that you play with on the Economy server notified us about the island being griefed/looted. Whilst looking to for the items to return, I noticed that a significant amount of dirt was in the list of the items looted from the island, so I decided to investigate its origin and uncovered probably one of the largest island farming operations I have seen.

You were banned for extreme island farming. A whopping 3380 blocks of dirt were destroyed on your island (almost a whole double chest full of dirt!), as well as 154 sand blocks, and the other common starter items such as lava buckets. Since there are 3 sand blocks per starter island, this means that you restarted your island over 50 times. It should also be mentioned that this seemed to be a relatively efficient operation, as you had your friends helping with the transfer of items. Sometimes, islands were restarted within minutes. Why someone would need this much dirt when you've only been playing on the server for a few days baffles me to say the least.

Whilst concerning, I also understand that you were unaware of our rules. I can cut you a bit of slack here, but it should also be noted that it really should be common sense. It is extremely unfair to other players who abide by our rules for you to island farm, as they, like everybody else, is limited to the starter amount of dirt & sand. Additional starter items can legally obtained through the purchasing from other players (who have legally obtained additional materials through means such as breaking grass blocks or donor kits) and/or the server shop (/shop on economy, /warp trade on survival & classic). I hope you can understand how unfair island farming can be to other players who have played the game fairly.

It will be a huge task for the staff team to confiscate and destroy the significant amounts of blocks put in chests as well as placed on the island where the items were transferred to. I hope you understand how much of a burden this places on us.

I would like for you to confirm your understanding and/or elaborate on these following points:

    • Do you understand why island farming is a rule on our server and how it is unfair to other players?
    • Do you understand the burden that this action is placing on staff members to confiscate and destroy the extreme amounts of materials placed?
    • What were you and your friends planning to do with all of the starter materials (dirt & sand in particular), and why did you decide to use this method of island farming to obtain these materials?
    • How can I trust that, if un-banned, you won't repeat these actions?
Additionally, since you said that you have not read the rules prior to this appeal, I would like for you to read the rules again, and list them in your response along with the points I've outlined above. In these points, please provide a very brief explanation of each rule, in your own words (I'm not asking for paragraphs, only needs to be max 1-2 sentences per rule). This is to ensure that I know you have read the rules and thoroughly understand them, to prevent any future punishments.

Thank you for reading my response, and I look forward to yours.
