Global Updates - May 6th, 2023 Added ore generation setting. Adjusted the item drop rates of certain mobs. Adjusted the ore generation system. Changing your island biome requires you to be on your island now. Further increased water event limit. Fixed that /loop wouldn't work with all discs. Fixed redstone protection. Fixed tnt protection. Economy: Adjusted the way crop hopper taxes work: Collected taxes will no longer be applied to the lottery base pool. The amount of taxes you have to pay is no longer a fix value but a percentage of the earnings you made (1% per Crop hopper up to 32%) with crop hoppers in the past Minecraft day (20 minutes). Crop hoppers that earned money in the past Minecraft day (20 minutes) will now always tax you even if the chunk is no longer loaded.
Tax should be charged on profit not revenue. A maximised farm costs over $68 million to build it takes a long while before that money is made back and now it will take even longer. Established farms might be ok, but I can no longer recommend cropper farms to new players. I know the tax is scaled but if it takes a couple weeks to build the farm fully then that’s when they start paying 32%. They will still be a long way off having made any profit. I’m not sure what the answer is, I’m just adding information that maybe hasn’t been considered.
I think that is what they want. They want player to be more active instead of using afk method. The thing that is going to suck about this is that new players and old are going to get rid of their choppers for larger more leggy farms to earn more profit without tax.
