getting rid of lockettes

People have often left my island and joined someone else's but left their lockette and chests. There's no way of getting rid of them without help. Either by the people themselves or by a full mod. I guess full mods are super busy, but I have 4 people who have ditched my island and left lockets everywhere I need help.
