Players are now looking at what they are going to farm to make money so they are going to start by looking at the value of items in shop. Before we go to all the effort and cost of building farms based on the prices given in shop, it would be great to have them at least close to their final value. Nothing worse than spending hours and tens of thousands of dollars setting up a farm to see prices nerfed as is happening already. Asking a very small thing to prevent a huge waste of time and money. Estimating an items price based on upfront costs, effort and speed of production is far better than waiting for players to commit, spend, build, farm, etc. only to see an items price drop by 96%. This should have happened already.
Yes we need shop prices to be finalized or at least no more major changes and also a post on the forums or somewhere where we can see the max and min priced would be very beneficial to the economy players.
I don't need to explain how much more abundant pumpkins are than stone and how much more effort it takes to gather stone compared to pumpkins. It makes no sense that pumpkins sell for twice that of stone? I thought they had fixed the price of stone, but today, it's back where it was. Afk at a pumpkin farm for a day and pull in over a million. AFK at a stone gen and pull in a couple thousand?? Yes pumpkin farms take a lot more investment initially, but that is all paid back so quickly and then its all cream with nothing to do but stand there to earn it. And it's also an investment that greenies don't have, they did when profit shops were about but not any more. This balance gap is going to grow a whole lot quicker than it ever has. From the changelog "Dynamic pricing system that affects the sell prices of specific farm and mob drop items in /shop. The prices will change depending on how often that specific item gets sold in comparison to all other items that get tracked" If you compare the amount of sales of blocks to ALL other blocks while pumpkins and melons probably make up 95% of all other sales, then all blocks will sit at their maximum and pumpkins and melons will sit at their minimum.
It seems that the working farm radius has increased from 5x5 chunks. Obviously it’s a massive cost and effort to build pumpkin/melon farms so it would be good for everyone to know what the prices are going to be. No one wants to spend millions on dirt and weeks building to see huge price changes resulting in a huge waste of time and balance.
