Your in-game name: Ducttapestuff (Main) TheFloobers (Name from before) Jthart88 (Alternate account in case something goes wrong) Which timezone are you in?Eastern Time Zone (Connecticut) Which languages do you speak? English and some Spanish but not enough to have a fluent conversation. Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) No, certainly not. Why do you think you should be a mod? I feel as though I should be a moderator because I understand the responsibilities a moderator has to take on. They must be responsible, kind, honest, hard working, and while I'm not perfect at any of these, I do try my best to be as well rounded in these traits as I can. I've always done my best to help out the people of this server or any other server (the chat does get a bit overwhelming these days). I have been a little less active than normal these days as so many of you may not know me, however I'd like to help out in any way that I can, and if you see me online (or vise versa) then let me know and I'll be glad to help out in any way at all. I'm sixteen years old but I think of myself as fairly responsible and can definitely be a mature moderator on the server. I don't normally act out, or fool around at unnecessary times. I also feel that at times when I join the server there tends to be maybe one moderator active at once and they can go afk when people might need them. Having a second or third (etc..) moderator can obviously solve this problem and I feel I would do a decent if not a good job at being active when people need it. (This might be repetetive as to what's above so I apologize) Reasons to consider me as follows: Reliable: You need someone to get the job done call reliable Duct. All kidding aside I feel I'm rather reliable as I can come on for a decent amount of time and if something needs to be done then I can either get the job done, do my best to help get it done, or find someone else who has the ability to do said job. Un-Biased: I'm rather un-biased when it comes down to situations that you would expect. For example: If I were friends with somebody and said friend were doing something wrong and they clearly knew it I would punish them in game with the proper punishment whether it's a warning (for swearing or something minor) or something as heavy as a ban (for griefing another island, using hacks that aren't allowed, trading illegal items such as buckets etc.). The same would go towards someone I didn't know like a guest I have not spoken to. Mature: I'm 16 so of course this is to be expected of someone of my age, but I find myself rather mature. Of course I like having fun and a little bit of teasing or playfulness is going to be part of what I do on the server and the forums, but most of the time, especially when I need to be, I will be quite serious being concise, and acting like an adult while also treating others as such as well. Respectful: I have two rather strict parents who have little patience when it comes to disrespect. I find myself as a respectful individual who treats people with respect, but also expects a certain amount of respect in return. For staff members I always respect and admire how much hard work goes into their jobs, and really I find it like managing a store. Making sure people follow the rules and anyone that doesn't gets kicked out of the store. (Bad analogy but you see my point.) Calm: This one may seem a bit odd, however when I say calm I mean that I keep a level head. When I get frustrated or a situation bothers me I don't let it show. I don't take out my anger or frustration on people innocent or guilty. Smart: Don't get me wrong I'm no straight A student, I keep my grades at least B level though. However I have common sense as to what's right and wrong, I'm no dummy. I've read the rules and I know how people should act on the server. I can give proper advice, care, and help to people that need my help or advice. Honesty: I'm an honest person. When I'm wrong I admit it. I take full responsibility for my actions and take full punishment for my wrong doings. (none so far and I intend to keep it that way). When people do something wrong I don't beat around the bush. I get right to the point and I'm going to be honest with them and tell then straight out that they're doing something wrong. I appreciate when people do that for me so I do the same in return. Strict (In a good way): I'm strict in a way that when rules are broken or members are acting out. I'm not the type to hold back and tell them what's needed to be heard. Whether it's a thank you for reporting something to me or someone doing something wrong, it shouldn't and doesn't matter to me. How long can you be active on the server every day? Definitely depends. Summer time you can expect to see me on the server basically all day on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday through Friday I have a summer job and work there from 10 to 6 generally. So I'd get about two hours of play time on those days. Saturday and Sunday depend on what I'm doing, but you may not see me as often on those days as I have grandparents to visit, chores built up, and just general jobs but as my duty I would push for an hour and a half of playtime on the weekends if need be. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? I've been a moderator on several servers. When Minecraft Classic was in it's prime I was a Mod on Supercraft, Au70, and have temp hosted for both of those including full time hosted for Supercraft. I've hosted a survival games server (not a cheap friend one mind you, a full bukkit with proper plugins) and it was popular for maybe a year and then I figured it's time to stop. Additional Notes: Thank you for reading over my application, sorry if I'm not what you're looking for. I hope you consider my application as I did put a little time and effort into it.
This application needs more information. Try adding more to the "why u should be mod" section. I don't see you very active in the forums or in-game, a mod must be both active in-game and on the forums not just one and so far u haven't really seen you on either. Try adding some color to really grab the readers attention. No support for now. Good Luck!
No Support for now. I would add... -More detail about why you think you should be a mod. -What qualities that would make you more opt to getting the position than others. -Color is also good to add - I have not really seen you on the server and we are in the same time zone. (I may be wrong. I don't catch everything) Other than that Good Luck!
It's a good start to your application. However, I don't recall seeing you in-game and you seem like you've been inactive for a long time on the forums because you joined back in 2013 and this is your first post according to your profile. Try adding a bit more detail to your application and give some information about yourself, it would be nice to know a little bit about you. Maybe add some colour too? It's optional but it would look nice, but only if you use a colour scheme. Good luck.
Alright, thank you for the advice. will definitely work on it a little when I get some time. I've been trying to be more active lately anyways so I'm sure you'll see more of me.
I just want to say that I spent a good 3 and a half minutes laughing at your profile picture. I don't know why. It's just so funny. Anyways, I enjoyed reading your application. Thank you for keeping it simple and well informative. I don't know you that well, but from evaluating your application and some of your activity on the forums, I'd say you're pretty qualified for the position. Support.
Thanks for the support. And yeah my friend and I wanted to make something for my profile pictures. And well for some reason we came up with this. It's an older picture of me and obviously my name.
