Disappearing Chickens

So I was on my island today and when I logged on, all my chickens were there doin whatever it is chickens do. about 20 minutes later I go to check their yield and all of them are gone. There were well over 100 chickens in there and not one was left, and not a single drop from them.

 

Talked to the player in-game about this.
