Changing my name, but does that still keep the same amount of votes I voted so far?

So I am going to change my name, and I will make sure to unlock my chests before I do, and I know I will keep everything, but will changing my name also record and save the amount of votes I have voted so far this month?

 

I'm pretty certain it does change to the name you are going to change it to.

 

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying the amount of votes will reset back to zero if I change my name? Is that what you mean?

I believe the votes stay, but he is saying your new name will appear instead of the old one when you vote.

The voting website will NOT associate your old name with the new name if that is what you are concerned about.
If you are looking to win top voter, then don't change your name.

but if the same vote is kept but with my new name, won't I still have the chance to win top voters with my new name?

 

No, If you have voted every day this month with your old name, then you have 9 votes against your old name. If you change your name now and vote the remaining days with your new name, then you new name will only get to 21 votes for the month. Neither name will feature in the top 10 let alone the top 5.
If you want to win top voter, you will have to change you name on the first of the month and start voting with the new name then.
ItzNeonx has the same problem and he has already changed his name so he can't win this month.

 

If this is the case, Id highly recommend waiting until the end of the month to change your name. In all honesty, I was confused myself on what would happen if someone changed their name half way through. I hadn't heard of anyone that did - many thanks, Drogo.
