Changable Username

Now before people freak out like It would be abused, Im just asking If we could make It that we can change our forums username once a month.

 

Moving to website suggestions and support, it's easier than constantly posting on a thread and the staff confirms the name change so it really wouldn't be abused.

 

Haha thanks for Moving the Thread this forum layout confuses me because Im use to Mineverse's I just put that top part In because there will be atleast one person that comments on this and screams "It would be abused"

Full support, this would come in handy (Though I won't ever use it XD). But for those wanting to change their username, it would come in very handy. I know the last time I submitted a username change, it took a week before the mod came on to change my username. This way, it would give the mods more ease, and you would be able to change it instantly.

 

Well Its Insufficient and takes forever for staff to respond because they may not even see a comment till like a week, this makes It that mods will get a username change request and they can approve It If it Is appropriate, I don't know why you prefer a slower less efficient way?

On the username change thread, zambi always does it quite quick, just a tiny little wait.
Might be easier for him, as other mods could just quickly approve them.

There could be innapropriate names, and before you say there can be a blocker, there are too many possible ways to make an innapropriate name.

 

The names have to be approved my a mod, same as mineverse

 

For this suggestion, they are suggesting that user can change their names without having a moderator's approval. If there was an approval and not a one time thing, it would be fine. But this suggestion is saying a user can change their name without approval every month.

 

I think he's just suggesting you would be able to do it on your own from your profile, not reply to sean's thread, and I'm pretty sure it would be the same plug-in as mineverse

 

We already have this. We just can only change it once, and it has to be 8 characters plus. I'm still not changing from no support, I like how Cypriot has it currently.

 

Don't put words In my mouth please, I suggested that once month you would be able to change your username (With a moderator confirming It as appropriate)

I can't tell you how useful and simple this is.
When a user changes their name a notification comes up in the moderation bar and staff approve or disapprove the name. There is a place to leave a reason why you are changing the name and a place for staff to leave a note stating why it was denied or a little "There you go" note.
As a forum admin I have a ton on my plate. Having to not worry about name changes has really helped. Not to mention how much the users love it.
