Why do you think you should be unbanned? I believe that my mute should be shortened because it is a very harsh mute for the situation. I make jokes to bring a smile to the faces to those who understand, but some of the playerbase that my jokes would harm, do not even understand. My jokes do not make fun of tragedies or make fun of suicide or other horrible things. My jokes are simply jokes. I understand that I have been warned many times, but I have not been warned for this reason in many days. Lycel, I am not asking you to un-mute me, but to only reduce the amount of time to better fit the offense.
Thanks for appealing, Cal. Previously, the rule has been a 31 day tempban or mute for explicitly mentioning porn websites. Players have had far more severe punishments than the one I gave you for exactly the same thing. I reduced the punishment because I recognised it was a joke, however, with your history, you have no less than 43 punishments registered on our database, 20 of which are for being inappropriate, and I'm not even counting the ones for bypassing the filter, so a warning or short mute would have been essentially useless. You have proven, hands down, that you cannot be trusted to do the right thing despite constant prodding from the mods, and so this 1-week mute is less a punishment for you, and more a suspension preventing you from breaking any further chat rules for at least a week. If, on 20 separate occasions within the last 60 days, you've been told to not be inappropriate, why on earth would you think Skyblock of all places is the right spot to post a joke about porn? By no means am I wanting to stifle your comedic development, I'm sure you have a long career ahead of you, but here's some free advice: know your audience. Skyblock is a strong mix of people, and we need to make sure we protect all players, old and young, from looking up 'what is <porn website>'. This comedy is not allowed on Skyblock. You know this, and you said it anyway. You have proven to me that you cannot be trusted to learn from your mistakes, and if we keep letting you off easy for these things, I can't imagine that will change. Sorry, but appeal denied.
