Relative bought a monopoly game, which I played. Got me thinking if i could make one in Minecraft. Answer is: yes. Anybody want a monopoly game built? tell me EDIT: since the answer is yes from the comments, I'll add this: Sadly there is nothing really else to do with redstone except some games - for now. If hoppers were enabled I could make redstone machines/artificial intelligence/computers that answer all your questions about Skyblock that don't have to be phrased in a certain way! (has never been done before). I have all the technology, but like with many other things on here, the problem of not having hoppers for input purposes remains.
It looks like a monopoly game. I guess you look down on it from a corner in a tall room. (1 of 4 corners, 4 players)
Could you perhaps make a video or take pictures of how it works? Is it just a monopoly board or does it have dice functions? And are each players the 'characters' that move around the board? I had an idea for that perhaps using minecarts and placing mobs inside of it. Let me know
Haven't built a prototype. I just think about it or draw a small sketch and decide if it works or not. And, well, yes, characters are possible but for space reasons (especially with Skyblock islands) I'd only make them 2 block high poles that have different colors. Maybe the top block representing a face, the bottom one a shirt color.
I think I patched hoppers but I need someone who knows how to do ALL of the hopper dupes. Inbox me on the forums. Once it's confirmed you cannot dupe with hoppers I will re-enable hoppers back to Skyblock.
But before you enable them I suggest you look over how hoppers affect trade shops, and if you want that to happen. It has no negative effects until you consider that with the addition to hoppers tradeshops can, with the addition of some complex redstone, output a redstone signal. So you'd have to modify that or be ok with that. See great additions: - Fully automatic casinos and restocking systems for all tradeshops - fully automatic donation systems - fully automatic everything that you'd like people to pay for See bad additions: - Redstone can activate dispensers that can drop illegal items. See bad additions that have been countered by updates: -Animal lag is now no longer a thing due to animal merging, so one cannot create lag with animals anymore. - No item lag due to clearlag. I'd personally suggest making some quick code that does not allow illegal items to be dropped from dispensers, for I'd absolutely love to see and help people with all kinds of redstone things. Could also be quite a big economy and server state boost, especially then that newbie tradeshops can refill way way wayy easier while the big ones would have to sacrifice unimaginable amounts of space for refilling systems.
This would be terrific. It would be very handy for restocking trade shops, assuming hoppers can feed into trade chests. Drogo seems to recall one time in the past, hoppers were enabled but you couldn't place them under privated chests. If hoppers were restricted so they couldn't be placed against other hoppers (Drogo believes this is required for duping, maybe wrong) then they can be used to some degree by players. Obviously full functionality is most desirable for redstone lovers like myself, but if this cannot be achieved, could this reduced functionality be provided?? CypriotMerks ??
Drogo stated a very good use for it. Automatic restocking of trade chests. Best you read the full post before you go laughing at people as you may look silly.
