It's always been the practice to only announce the popular game changes and not the un-popular ones. Please just announce them all so we aren't all left wondering why something that worked before is no longer working. And when it comes to changes that actually remove items from players, like hopper minecarts, announce it BEFORE it's implemented. I don't know if you're looking to avoid backlash, but they mostly get discovered and asked about anyway. Better to be forthright about it and not look like your wanting to hide it.
Oh I absolutely agree that everything should be told. I think it is frustrating to find out the hard way that something has changed.
