NA Anna's Moderator Application

Introduction​

Hello, I'm Anna, or formerly known as Gal. I've been playing Skyblock for a couple years now and I've decided to apply for moderator. Outside of Minecraft and here I usually spend my time focusing on music, writing and sports such as softball and football.

I'd like to also add I won't be adding crazy colours or symbols, as I feel that doesn't matter in the application itself, but rather for the appearance to look nice. :)

In-game name​

Annaboi. My nickname is usually either Anna or just Annaboi. **for the whole month of October my nickname will be SpookyJimAnna.**

Past names are Intertwining, Anncentric, and GalaxyBlueMoon.

UTC — 5:00.

Country​

I live in Canada. I however prefer not to go into detail of what province I live in.

Languages​

English is the language I'm the most fluent in. I can understand Polish fairly well, as I've grown up in a fully Polish family. I've been learning French for a while, too, and can understand and say minimal amounts of it.

2FA​

I have 2FA enabled and have for a while now.

Capturing evidence​

I am able to capture proof via screenshots, and even though it may not be as great as recording a video, I always make sure I take screenshots of everything I possibly can.

Why do I think I should be mod​

I believe I would be a good addition to the staff team, and think I have the traits and qualifications to be a satisfactory moderator. I love this server, and I only want to see the best of it. I believe every bit of help benefits the server, and I'm positive I could help make this server a nicer place for all players.

Being helpful is something I enjoy doing. Whenever I see an opportunity to help, I take it. I've been doing it so much lately it's just become a daily thing now. Alongside that, I will also go out of my way to help someone. Whether it be refunding something, or even just telling someone a command they wanted to know in chat, any type of helping; I will do it. I understand helping is just one of the many things moderators do, however it's a fairly large part of it. And I believe enjoying what you're doing, makes you want to work to your fullest.

I know how to handle situations. Whether it be an appeal, an argument going on in chat, I know how to come up with a solution. I always rethink what I do before I actually do it, so no mistakes are made in the process of doing so. I also understand this is a big part of moderating, and I strongly think I'm very good in this department.

I believe I can take the responsibility of being a moderator, and I strongly understand this isn't something to be out and about with. In conclusion, I want mod not because of the prefix, or anything along those lines. I believe I could genuinely help around the server, and do the community some good.

Patient. I'm patient, and I know how to get the job done. This is important as for some situations don't get solved as quickly as maybe others may do. I'm willing to wait for as long as it takes, even if it is a couple minutes, or even a week. Even though I do like to get the job done quickly, I don't like to do it rushed as it usually ends up not ending it up how it could've if you just put a little patience into it; which is why it's strongly important. Patience is a virtue, eh?

Flexible. I'm willing to adapt to changes, no matter how big or small the change may be. This is a good trait as not everything stays the same over time, and you need to know how to adapt to it as quickly as you can. I've always been told I was flexible when it came to changes, and I believe that too. I always try to adapt to a change as quickly as I can, so it won't get in the way of anything. I've always seen this as important because most likely, changes are going to happen.

Rational. I'm very rational and understanding, and take everything into consideration. I think this is a great trait when dealing with appeals, reports, or maybe even helping. Let's say I'm dealing with an appeal for instance, if it's a first-time thing, I don't want that one punishment reflect the whole person. But depending on the situation, it doesn't mean I will forgive them right away; I'll make sure myself and others agree with the decision I'm making.

Hardworking. Whenever I am given a task or work to do, I do it as quickly as I can and to the highest level I can. I believe this is incredibly mandatory as I believe people should always put as much effort as they can into the job they do as possible. I don't procrastinate, and I get the job done and quickly as I can, but not rushed. Work is one of my highest priorities and I don't let anything get into the way. I work as hard as I can to do what is right.

Respectful. I am respectful, whether or not it be one of my best friends, or someone I may not even know that well. This trait shows you're approachable and you're willing to put yourself out there. I show respect and kindness to people who may not even show it back. I treat others the way I want to be treated.

Achieving. I always set my standards and goals high for myself. This shows you're willing to try your hardest, no matter what. Even if I'm challenged, I won't give up and I'll even possibly try to see if there's a different way to do something. I'll certainly do whatever it takes to reach a certain goal, fix a certain problem.

All in all, I believe I would be a good moderator as I believe I can make a difference. Whether it be a big one, or a small one. I think my characteristics are moderator-worthy.

Activity​

Here's my schedule. Usually I can play for a three hour minimum per day, unless I have something going on. If something changes I will update you all.

Weekdays: three to five hours.
Weekends: three to seven hours.
Holidays: usually all day, unless I am off with my family or having dinner.
Sick or free days: usually all day.

Skyblock experience​

I have been playing Skyblock for about two years and a half now. If you want more detail, I joined November 2013 on an account named Yannabanana123.

Banning background​

I was never banned for a legitimate reason before, and I wish to keep it that way. However I have been banned by mistake and was unbanned shortly after.

Moderating experience​

I have been opped on a server before, but it was not to moderate whatsoever. So the answer would be no. However I was taught how to use a couple useful commands during that experience, and also know a couple useful commands myself.

Do I fulfill the requirements​

Yes, I do fulfill the requirements for this position. I have over fifty posts, I have 2FA enabled, I've been registered on these forums for well over two weeks, and I use Teamspeak often.
